Exhausted Ravens, Rested Pats

Two reasons why the OP is a moron for posting this crap.

1- The Pats haven't accomplished a thing yet, they are 1-2 in the past 3 divisional games and Brady is only 6-6 in his past 12 playoff games and are facing a Texans team that is just as talented,if not more a talented overall roster if they come to play this time.

2- The Ravens are playing as a team and have the magical emotions of their leader Ray Lewis orchestrating them, they remind me a little of the 2005 Steelers who were then led into a tight group by a retiring Jerome Bettis and no one thought they were all that good.......all teams lay it all on the line and get gassed in these games whether its 4 or 6 quarters of play.

Today's game will be a lot tighter than people on this board are expecting.

Pats will win because they are the better team and better coached but HOU will give Brady & Co everything they have because they are a good team.

This has all the makings of a 3 point game and I also believe the Texans roster is just as good,if not better than the Pats with the only big edge being at QB and HC......Wade Phillips is a goof, but is a respected DC who won't likely get destroyed twice in the same season.

IMO the winner of this game will not be determined until less than 4 minutes remaining in the 4th.

The Ravens had better hope that we choke against the Texans because, if we do get through them tomorrow, then the Ravens would get thrashed.

Didn't we say the same crap going into the AFCCG last year and if it weren't for the heroic efforts of a scrub CB named Sterling Moore (who isn't even on the team anymore) knocking the ball out, they lose.

OTOH, the Patriots team playing them today is more talented overall than the one that played them in Week 14.

So what you're saying is that the Patriots have an enormous advantage in perhaps the two most important areas of the team?

Don't forget tight end, either.

The Patriots are obviously, and significantly, better at

TE
QB
LB

They're also better at most OL positions, and Welker/Lloyd is a better WR pair than Johnson/Walter.

That is not as big an edge as HC and QB.

Daniels,Casey and Graham are VERY formidable TEs and could reek havoc on our LBs and Safeties today, that will be a key to stopping Schaub and the passing game.

I already said big edge to HC and QB

While some other areas, the Pats are ahead a bit in talent,The rest of the areas are not as large a gap in talent as those 2 positions, that is my point.

The Texans, when they play as they should, are a pretty solid overall group, like the Pats.

But you're wrong. That's the point. The Patriots are much better at TE and Lb than the Texans are. With the injuries the Texans have suffered at linebacker, neither area is even close. Hell, the TE difference is almost pro v. college.

Well...if you're really worried about Daniels, Graham, and Casey, how sanguine do you think the Texans are on the probability of Bradie James and Barrett Ruud being able to slow down Gronkowski and Hernandez?

After watching the overtime warfare in Denver...
This is probably a cake-walk. I hate to ruin cake with all those foot prints, but there's no better way or place to end Lay Rewis' career.
Bring it!

OK, now I know what you're talking about. :p

1 down, 2 to go. 1 game at a time.

the Ravens ALWAYS play us tough...BUT you have to like that they are an Old defense who just played 5 quarters of football...they looked tired near the end of that game.

If I'm brady I go hurry up and try and take advantage of that older defense.

Also, Brandon Lloyd had a pretty good game last time these teams played...with Webb gone, hopefully he can take advantage of man-coverage.

they will be gassed IMO to start the game

Did people really think the Texans would make this a game? The Texans are a talented football team but hampered by their QB, HC and DC.

Now the Ravens are a mentally tough team and will come in here expecting to win. But that will only happen if the Pats have multiple turnovers. If the Pats turn it over once or less they win by 10+.

Curst by a post made before the Pats-Texans game even played.

They may have got tired; but Pats got DINGED.

I think they will recuperate from being TIRED faster than Gronk and Woodhead do from their issues.

And they still have Pollard.

Still dont think they should/will beat Pats (although it will be a SLUG-FEST); but it only took one injury last time to make the Pats susceptible to the NFC champ. We've already lost more firepower than that this year. Just the team depth is better this time around.

True. The 2011 Pats offense was entirely centered around Gronk. The Pats O was limited because of it & ended up struggling in the SB. This season is a totally different story. I hate that Gronk reinjured that forarm. But the Pats has been doing pretty good in his absence. There's no hope for the rest of the NFL if NE wins the SB without Gronk this year.
