49ers are just too good. Cannot stop them on defense and pats cannot move the ball against the offense. Don't see a comeback here. Bad loss because the makes them the 3rd seed now which means no bye week.

Also almost a 2 hours first half. Good god.

Someone needs to nail kap in the chest to let him know life isn't perfect. Unfortunately you need a pass rush for that

Meh.......

Patriots will find a way to win. I can't think of any other team that makes half-time adjustments as well as New England.

It ain't over until it's over.

Sure, I can see that happen.... If the Niners decide to shower and head back home instead of taking the field in the second half. Yeah, I can see us winning.

Time for Bill to use his Evil Sith powers to motivate the team.

That was absolutely brutal... but props to the 49ers, they came to play. It hasn't been a matter of us playing poorly as us being outplayed... so far.

Here's the thing. I think we could be doing a lot worse than to be down by 14 at this point, and absolutely think we're still in it. Maybe they go into the third and continue to lay this awful offensive egg. But I really believe the Patriots are the most mentally tough team in the league. I've seen them come from absurd deficits too many times to not think they have it in them, even if they are facing the best D in the NFL.

This game is just a couple of successful O drives and a big play on D from being a completely different affair.

Tke Pats need to stop dropping passes and going three and out...if they can't, they lose..it's
simple.

That wasn't what BB was challenging. He was challenging that it was an illegal touching by our team. But since the ball didn't touch Ginn, Cole's recovery of the ball is legal.

Which means that NE shouldn't have been charged the Time out. But Hochuli fubared that.

Re: So this is what it feels like...

We been "exposed"! :D

We'll see. It ain't over, and it's just one game. Part of me won't mind terribly if we're suddenly no longer considered better than the rest of the NFL with a big target on us.

This is the first time all season that they are simply the better team. The O-Line is getting killed and a healthy Gronk would be much needed. Branch as the WR3 simply isn't good enough and that's why he was cut multiple times. The refs are weak but the better team is leading. I honestly don't know how they can win this game. Looks like no bye week for them ... I hope that Brady can atleast keep his TD streak.

missing gronk is hurting so bad....

Either a quick 3 and out or a TO to start the second half by our D would be great.

you expected any different? he's always been a boob..we all know that...let's see what he screws up in the 2nd half.

How could it be illegal touching? Did Coles run out of bounds before recovering the ball..?

I don't know what happened on the 2nd TD by San Fran, but Hightower and Spikes both passed their men to Dennard who had NO safety help. Clearly there was a screw up with McCourty and Gregory on that play, not to mention Spikes and Hightower BOTH can't pass men to one guy..

Yea, theres a little bit of that going around here and there

Ah Talib, why the hell wouldn't you stay with Crabtree there? That was dumb football.

At this point in the game, the 49ers clearly look more physical than the Patriots.

How was it dumb football? He turned his head, Found the ball, put his arms up, turned his head back and the ball hit him in the back of the arm before contact with Crabtree. Extremely bad call by the side judge. That was NOT PI.

3rd seed would mean at home vs. Cincy or Indy as likely opponents

To avoid that, the team has 2 quarters left to change this, otherwise no way does Denver lose to Cleveland or KC both at Denver.

Respect for Hines. Thought he might be bitter.

I'm hoping the Pats pull this one out, but remember that at this point the game that matters most is the first one they play in January.
