The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

Shonn "2 feet and a cloud of dust' Greene has weighed in, and it's time to get your popcorn ready...

"You feel bad for Mark, but at the same time you want to win games. We're not here to protect people's feelings. If you want to win games, you've got to try something. If somebody's not getting the job done, you see if somebody else can do it. It's the same with coaching, or any position. You don't mean to belittle someone or say 'he sucks.' That's just the harsh reality."

Jets RB Shonn Greene is right: Time for team to hand ball to 'terrible' Tim Tebow - Yahoo! Sports

Now it's getting good...the anti-Sanchez beans are starting to speak up now.

PFT: Shonn Greene thinks it’s time for a change at the quarterback position

Just as we had hoped...

In one week, they'll be taking each other out:D

he's smarter than he looks...of course a starting RB would love to have the run threat that Tebow is at QB..it reduces the pressure from the defense scrutiny wise on running downs...now the problem is there are twenty unnamed Jet players that HATE Tebow...something tells me this is going to end up another act in the ongoing lifelong circus that the Jets bring to town...

Rex has seriously turned the Jets into exactly what we would have hoped for.
I cannot imagine him doing a better job of turning a laughalre franchise into something I can sit and laugh even harder at.
The suckitude on the field is fun all by itself but the public humiliation of the group that publicly spent years pronouncing itself to be better than it was now turning into publicly saying how bad each other suck is just a gift from heaven for Pats fans.

LOL what I'd pay to be a fly in the wall during a Jets team meeting or to just be in the locker room this week  Sanchez giving awkward stares at Shonn Greene and the others who openly call for a QB change, Tebow yelling like a maniac in an attempt to fire up his teammates and nobody paying attention to him, Cromartie reading Hooked on Phonics, totally oblivious to what's going on. What could be more entertaining??

them loosing out the remainder of the season, a boycott on PSL's and ticket sales, and Met-Life Stadium cancelling the contract they have with the jets to host them as it really is the home of the Giants.

the off season will find them looking for a new home and a new coach, owner, and probably about 1/2 a team.

Good times.

Just buy a ticket to the NY Zoo, go to the monkeys section, and watch them fling poo at each other.

Same thing.

Edit: If you tip the zoo keeper well enough, you might be able to talk him into putting some Jets helmets on their heads to get the full effect. But make SURE he's the only one touching the gear. You don't want to risk getting Rexeria.

I think I'd prefer if them and Sanchez did JUST good enough, like 7-9 with a couple exciting late season wins, to trick them into delaying the overhaul. The longer this can stay together the better for us

I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if they really did fling their poo at each other in the locker room

Excellent point. The longer the current circus is in town, the better for the entire NFL.

At least then, we can say there are 31 NFL Professional teams and one for just pure comic relief. :singing::singing:

(a shame you can't insert a poll into the middle of a thread)

So, would you prefer to see the Jesters win or lose the first week they actually pulled Sanchize and started Tebow ?
(which even before learning about the $7M cap penalty for doing it; I thought Rexy wants to go down with the Titanchez and will not pull him.)

personally, as long as not vs Pats I wouldnt mind to see him get a win and really cause dissension in the lockerroom.

Well if you decide to satisfy your curiosity and tour the Jets facilities make sure to obey the warning signs.

And whatever you do, do NOT get out of your car!

LOL, it's like Christmas every morning. Shonn Greene pretty clearly slammed Sanchez, but now a friend says he didn't mean anything toward Sanchez. Really?

"You feel bad for Mark, but at the same time, you want to win games. We're not here to protect people's feelings," he said. "If you want to win games, you've got to try something."

Then this morning:

The source said Greene was not suggesting any specific personnel changes. Instead, the source said the "change" Greene meant is that the Jets need to start winning instead of losing.

No, of course he didn't mean to single out Marky. He just happened to refer to him by name. Keep it coming!

As a side note, I'm watching NFLN this morning and a fellow show host just referred to Eric Davis as 'E.D." I think they might want to re-think that.

Thanks.

I was not aware of this little gem.

J E :bricks:S T S

They are also stuck with Sanchez for at least one more season from a purely cap perspective with no way out since his dead cap will create a cap hit $4.3M greater than his projected $12.8M against the cap if he's jettisoned. Which is probably what keeps them from giving McElroy a shot...

Now that Greene has weighed in with the less vocal for now alternate view from the locker room, this is shaping up to remind me of one of the great tragic gang musicals of all time, West Side Story, pitting two groups (aptly named the Sharks and the Jets) against each other in a turf war over territory and pride and the love of a woman. Only difference here is the love objects are male QB's...

wait wait wait. Shonne green is still on the jets?

and the saga continues

Jets' Cromartie silent, Scott angry at Tomlinson's leak accusation - NYPOST.com

Former Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson said he thinks he knows who is ripping Tim Tebow.

On his Sirius XM NFL Radio show yesterday, Tomlinson was read the quotes and said he believed cornerback Antonio Cromartie and linebacker Bart Scott were the ones quoted.

A current Jets player said the belief around the team is that Cromartie was the player

who called Tebow “terrible.” Cromartie refused to speak to reporters at his locker, turning up the volume on his iPod dock when reporters approached.

Scott reacted angrily to Tomlinson’s accusation.

“That can’t be farther from the truth,” Scott told The Post. “One thing about me is I ain’t ever hid behind [junk] that I’ve ever said. I’m not afraid to put my name to it, go to a person and say it to them.”

This is one of the best soap operas I've ever watched. I am entertained...WHAT A TRAIN WRECK OF A FRANCHISE THEY ARE.

The Jets suck more than ever before. LOL. :D
