I think he just slammed his knee into the ground hard... no twisting involved.
Based on what I've seen during this preseason, I don't see how Cunningham would get cut and Bequette make the team. And I've trashed Cunningham as a waste of a pick since the middle of his rookie year.
Francis showed more than Bequette as well.
Dennard really struggled. If he makes the 53 someone who can contribute now won't. Hoyer was fine. If not for a late challenge flag and a brainfart by a soon to be street FA WR, he'd have thrown for over 170 yards tonight and we'd have likely won a meaningless game. You're one for 3 though. That OL was terrible.
We clearly watched different games. Maybe I missed something. Tell me what Hoyer did that impressed you, and what Dennard did negatively. I focused on Dennard the entire second half and he not only contained his man, but showed some ty Law type skills closing on the off receiver.
He more than likely won't, but just about the only thing saving him is his 3rd round status. He's the #6 DE on a team that only needs 3 active and is going to keep either 4 or 5. If I were in charge, I'd be calling every GM in the NFL seeing if anyone would be willing to give a fourth round pick for him.I'll bet any of you guys real money that Bequette is not waived on Friday. Not that I have the means to do so, but the sentiment is there.
I don't think that's a fair way to evaluate a corner's coverage skills. Maybe he didn't "flash" because his coverage was tight and the ball wasn't thrown his way.Dennard wasn't horrible, he just didn't flash much and against second and third string receivers. He may have a high ceiling, but I don't see a high enough floor to be of much use this season.
Sterling Moore seemed to be the DB the Giants were attaching.
The question on this defense seems to be at whose expense.
We'll see. The way Brace and Cunningham have played, I think it's a little ridiculous that people are talking about cutting a 3rd round pick because he didn't tear it up in preseason.
Ever think that maybe they wanted to win it and avoid OT? He wouldn't call that in a regular season game.

You've got to cut someone. Who gets the ax just because Bequette is a high draft pick?
What amazes me is that the NFL hasn't outlawed OT in pre-season games.
