First roster cutdown: who's in, who's out?

Most likely, but as BB is wont to do, it gives Warren, a respected vet, a chance to catch on with another team if the opportunity arises.

Hasn't Warren said that he will only play for the Pats though?

He could go to another team, but you have to think he's still playing for a shot at winning the Superbowl. The Pats are one team of a handful that have a great chance of being there, and he's already connected here. Lay low, stay in shape and keep your phone nearby.

You obviously haven't been reading this forum much lately

I haven't been reading the forum lately because I gave my personal opinion that I didn't see Brace as a cut this year?

Brace's job was rarely in the danger. He came into camp and has performed from the minute he walked in and translated that on to the field...

You obviously haven't been watching games or reading reports......

Florio is reporting Stallworth released.

So, on top of Barrett, Ventrone, and Warren from yesterday, we have Stallworth and Bulman released..

Wonder what else is on tap..

Well there are 5 more to go...

Could see someone like Shiancoe released although considering what they invested and what he did in his brief appearance in camp they may not extend him the courtesy of early release given how many teams are jonesing for TE depth at the moment. Same deal with Koppen if he is in fact struggling and not just knocking off rust.

FB Spencer Larsen has been cut according to Ravens Insider.

So Kettani seems to be ahead of Larsen, though I suspect he will be cut soon. He'd be nice on the practice squad.

Jake Ballard placed on Reserve/PUP not IR according to Globe/98.5.

Makes sense. If they had placed him on IR, since he is not a veteran, he would be subjected to waivers and the Giants would claim him back. This way, he can maybe come back in week 6-8 or directly go on IR.

indeed it does. What chancesBolden makes the practise squad if released?

Very High, imho. there are tons of RBs at the tail end of rosters who have done well.. We saw two against Tampa..

The more interesting question might be what are the chances he goes unclaimed so that Pats have the option of signing him to the PS?

Leaving three more cuts to be made in the next 3 hours.

I think you mean four. Belichick has to let one more go so he can recall Ross Ventrone.

Has there ever been a player in the NFL with a greater need for unlimited minutes on his cell phone contract?

I think chances are better than not that he would be picked up by another team. The NFL is pass crazy, but teams still need RB's. Bolden is bound to be better than the 4th RB on one of 31 other teams.

Even at NFL minimums (and part time at that) I'm betting he can afford it.. ;)
