Name one suprise cut

Yet another one of Bill's mistakes in that damn game.

My surprise cut: Tavon Feckin Wilson.

It's quite unfortunate that some "fans" here seemingly want this guy to fail. Personally I'm hoping he becomes a second round steal.

Pretty telling actually. The same people who have been shrieking about trading up for front 7 and pass rush help get exactly what they have been shrieking about and all they can say is F.cking Tavon Wilson, F............ Tavon Wilson............, and on and on and on. Whereas as most fans are happy that they went after defensive help aggressively with not only the first 2 picks but the draft as a whole the douches can only scream and shriek and whine because the Patriots didn't follow Mel's Big Board as closely as the niks wanted. And while i can see being shocked by the pick, wanting other players, and being disappointed, i can't see the crap being spewed about Wilson as garbage and all the crying about what a disaster the pick is. In short it's BS, and it's coming from people who don't know what the hell they are even talking about.

Branch. I think the Gaffney signing sends Branch packing.

Huh? You value your team winning over you being right on a messageboard?

And you call yourself a fan. ;)

I love Pryor. I think he is more versatile than others here have opined. But if we upgrade him out of the line up, so be it.

Injuries make him a bubble player, but he is a very disruptive interior rusher when healthy.

I think Branch gets cut. I think he'll maybe play another year with a different team.

David Patten. With so much depth at WR this year, there is NO WAY David Patten makes this team!

In all seriousness, I think Branch is a decent guess. Too many choices in this thread would not qualify as a surprise cut.. Just to be different, I will go with McCourty even though I find it unlikly

The roster is so competitive that finding "surprises" is the problem, and most named here wouldn't be big surprises. I'm going with Pryor even though I like him and w3ould like to see him on the final roster, he simply isn't reliable and at a certain point Belichick will count that against him. He's a better player than Deadrick but .his injury history will come into play.

Other than that:

RB: Addai-Faulk retires

FB: Fiametta-Larsen makes the team.

WR: Branch/ Ocho

DL: Brace (Pryor-already named)

LB: Cunningham

DB: Moore-another surprise

This may not be the most talented team in Patriots history but I think it will be the most difficult team they have ever had to make. They should be able to pick up a number of late round picks for potential cuts before final cutdown because this is one deep roster right now. I have never seen them this deep at this point in time.

Branch (one can only hope).

These are my silly wild ***** guesses: Trevor Scott, Deadrick, Sterling Moore, Gaffney, Cunningham.

We keep Ochocinco.

Of course there are many more cuts, but these are my notable guesses.

Branch (one can only hope).

Why's that? Sure he's getting old but he's a good teammate and has a great relationship with Brady on the field. Not saying he can't get cut but why would you hope for it?

I know a couple people have said it already, but i seriously don't believe Branch makes the cut. He has absolutely hit a wall in terms of physical limitations. His speed has declined NOTICEABLY. I know he runs the routes Brady likes, but unless we plan on running 5WR sets all year (which we won't), i don't think it makes sense to keep someone who's lost more than a few steps. Let a younger guy come in and show off some of that athleticism that prevented us from getting another Superbowl.

I think the Branch decline is a little overstated, he was the fourth target on the team and the only real non-slot WR and still had 700+yds and 5 TDs. As a 4th behind Gaffney I think he'd be fine.

Disagree...watching him run is almost painful. The only reason he had that many yards is because Brady aired it out every single game and was the 4 option behind 3 BEASTS. It's great he knows the system, but i really wouldn't be surprised if he's on the roster bubble.

Cuts that would surprise me.

Ocho

Addai

Brace

Koppen ( in case maybe he doesn't come back the same after his injury)

nobody wants him to fail, but there's a reason there's more flies on one piece of poop than another
