Gangreen is comedy gold right now...

When asked who's at fault over this contract issue, Polian just said on NFL Live that it's not really anybody's fault. He said it's very common to have issues between the teams, but it's up to the Jets to know what they acquiring.

More craziness filed to ESPN: Jaguars are back in the mix, seeing if they now can pull off a trade with Denver for Tim Tebow.

Ok, I am onboard with firing Tannen**** today if this falls apart and he gets traded anywhere else...not because I care about Tebow but because we can't continue to be the lauging stock of sports with this ****** moron making the decisions.

OMG Please!! Let our own stupidity and ******ation save us!!

I am not doubting him and the cap or how he writes contracts (like Brick having to block punts to get a multiplier or Sanchez winning 4 SB's etc), I have started to grow dubious of his football decisions.

Thats why I'm hoping Woody was pushing for this to get done quickly, and not Tanny wanting to make this a quick deal.

Yea, ok, we'll have tanny be our contract writer and hire some one else to be our contract reader. Really?

Wait, so who picked....Denver or Tebow? It sounds like Tebow would have wanted JAX from what I've read.

It was reported by Schefter that Tebow would be allowed to choose, but then 16 minutes later came the report that the Broncos would decide and do what was best for their franchise.

So, Denver chose.

It was reported Tebow wanted to return to Florida so if it'd been left up to him, he surely would have chosen Jax.

Elway is stone cold.

wouldn't jax picks be lower?

Beware the Ides of March Mark!

Denver has agreed to trade Tim Tebow and a seventh-round pick to the Jets for the NY's fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick.

its done deal now

Yes, but we don't know (yet) what Jacksonville was offering in comparison to what the Jets were offering.

One tweet I saw prematurely said that Tebow was going to Jacksonville for a 4th and 7th, so I guess it was 4+6-7 from the Jets or 4+7 from the Jags. Not a big difference.

The deal was halted earlier due to language in Tebow's contract relating to prepaid bonuses and salary, but the Jets have agreed to pay half of the $5 million in compensation back to Denver to finish the trade, the source said.

it took 8 hours for jets to understand the contract it seems lol...

now they have agreed to pay 5 million

This whole fiasco was a free roll. Either the Jets get Tebow and now have Tebow and The Sanchize, or the Jets don't get Tebow, alienated their star QB and look like bigger morons than they already do (which is saying something).

I agree with somebody up thread somewhere who wanted it to get done. Instead of one day of hilarious infamy we will get the gift that keeps on giving and giving.

Football Jesus is now getting coached by Beelzebubba.

Next up, I bet Sanchez asks for a trade, after being publicly jerked around and humiliated this off-season. :D

Still, I cannot figure out how Jax botched this. Tebow would have earned that 5 million back for the owner VERY quickly with ticket sales and renewed interest. Tebow's practically a god in Florida. Doesn't make sense.

The football people won the argument in Jville.

Guess what folks BB would do what is best for the team/franchise not what is best for the player. Elway is just doing his job as he sees it.

Lol, yeah, Elway is not a sentimental sort.

I find it amusing that you've routinely accused others of bias whilst ignoring your own in regards to Tebow Deus. Everyone holds a bias of some sort.

Dependant on the value you place on Tim Tebow the potential trade is a steal or a terrible acquisition. To me, it seems like it's a PR move for the Jets if it eventuates. They want to stay relevant.

Either way, it's funny. Damn funny.

Given that I don't really have a bias for or against Tebow, I'm not sure what you find funny.

Nevermind. Having read your foolishness on the topic, I can see where coming from your ridiculous position, any moderate take would look biased.

I was just going to post that. Here's the whole quote:
"I'm just sorry that I can't agree with this situation. I think it's just a publicity stunt. I can't go with it. I think it's wrong," Namath told "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN1050 in New York. "I don't think they know what they're doing over there."

Yeah, I get that, but the offers were apparently close enough to even to not make a difference, and I believe that Elway said he would trade Tebow to a place that was good for him, not ... there.

Yeah, but he wouldn't SAY "I'm going to do what's best for (Richard Seymour, for example)" and then turn around and dump him in the worst football situation ever.
