I'm not feeling very confident, reassure me.

Couple or few very important notes here:

---Brady DID NOT have his worst game of the season, or anywhere close to it. He threw for 350 yards, and 2 TD's. He unfortunately also threw 2 INT's.
---If you went into the other room during the battle that was that game, and proclaimed that "we won" with several minutes left to go, you MAY have some issues that need to be dealt with.

---the NYG defense does not remind me, or anyone of the Baltimore Ravens.

---Most importantly, if you were able to get over the 2007 season's SB "pretty easily" you have something inside you that we do not understand very well around these parts.

I was gonna say, where the hell did he get Brady having his worse game of the regular season?

People seem relatively confident.

I'm afraid that I'm not as confident, and like the original poster, I'm nervous about this game. The NYG scare me more than the Ravens did. Eli > Flacco. I fear the D-line. I fear the receivers.

NE is on a roll and they should be well prepared, but the NYG are very hot and they have plenty of talent.

It'd be amazing to see an early TD followed by a turnover to jump out to a 10-0 or 14-0 lead...

You are crazy. The Ravens' defense is much better than the Giants defense. I will give you the pressure they can produce, that goes without saying but as a whole defense, Ravens are much better.

Giants arent that great against the run and the secondary isn't "scary" at all. Brady will have his way with them secondary granted he has the time. With no real deep threats Brady will have his time this time around. No Moss routes to wait for and allow pressure to get there.

If Vernon Davis can torch them, imagine what the Boston TE party could potentially do?

to OP: Brady will be on SI cover next week. How's that for a jinx. Sorry for lowering your confidence even further!!!!!!!!

The Giants Defense is not like Ravens Defense...Ravens CB's > Giants CB's.

Awe, don't worry. If the Giants play as sloppy as they did against the 49ers we'll blow them out and this will be another "boring" super bowl blowout. If not, it will be a close game but we should still squeeze out a win.

And if that doesn't make you feel better, read this article:

Tim Tebow Expected to Be Deciding Factor in Giants/Patriots Super Bowl

and then look at this picture:

Which side is Tebow on? See? You have nothing to worry about:D

As the days go by, I am becoming increasingly confident the Pats are going to win this. I think the Giants are going to try the same tactics from 2007, but BB is going to ready for it even if that means leaving an extra TE to block and throwing the ball down field since they are going to be so worried about Hernandez and Gronk.

The storylines IMO after the game is going to be the O-line and the D-line coming up huge.

I'm waiting for the Rex Ryan prediction. Then I'll know if I should be worried or confident.

I want a boring blowout..lol..The Pats never had an easy SB even in their glory days.

When the Pats run - advantage Pats. Our OL is playing very well, and the Giants DL and LB are very average against the run.

When the Pats pass - advantage Pats. They won't get much pressure unless they rush 5. Either way, Brady and Co. will do well.

When the Giants run - advantage Pats. The front seven has played really well against the run for a few games now.

When the Giants pass - advantage Giants. But if we keep the game in front of us, the damage should be survivable.

ST - advantage Pats.

Feel better?

Common theme in the 2 championship games both losing teams beat themselves IMO...The Pats do have weaknesses but the one thing they very rarely do is beat themselves..The Giants are much like the Pats in that respect because of Tom Coughlin but i still think Eli Manning is still prone to making a bad pass and Brady got his out of his system last week...Plus look for Wilfork to play a big role collapsing the interior line of the Giants...

We have a good chance this time. Giants squad is filled with younger players who got very nervous against the 49ers and made a lot of mistakes. Both teams made too many mistakes and there were ample opportunities for takeaways that the 49ers failed to capitalize on. The Giants also took advantage of turnovers by the 49ers.

It's going to be a lot about Brady's head and I think he's over his jitters. He seemed on point even after his interceptions in the the Ravens game. Quarterbacks aside though, this team's weakest links, from what I saw, are simply stronger and tougher than that team's weakest links, both in terms of skill and mental preparation.

Eli will be fine but the rest of that team has a lot of young players that don't play very disciplined. At some point, you have to give consistent execution, its credit. The Patriots clearly have that on their side and have done it over and over all season long.

The Giants still played far too sloppy even as of last week.

You're right, this Giants defense is better. If it makes people feel good to pretend otherwise, so be it. But, stop the BS of belittling those who are taking a more honest approach. So if you must, please go on pretending that the front seven of Jason Pierre-Paul (16 1/2 sacks), Osi Umenyiora (who returned last week), (a finally healthy) Justin Tuck, Mathias Kiwanuka, Chris Canty, Michael Boley, and Jimmy Kennedy isn't a top three front seven. I, and most others, will know otherwise, and it will make the hoped for win all the more sweet.

P.S. It's really comical how some are ready to throw out the stats when it comes to a very average Patriots defense (i.e. yards don't matter). But a real big time defense like the Giants? Well, they suck - the stats say so.

Brady will probably not have 2 sub-par games in a row, and will be well prepared.

I'm with you here - 100% There's just no way.

On the other side, I don't see the Pats defense generating much pressure on Eli. .

Why not? The giants have given up 8 sacks and 24 qb hits during the playoffs, by far the most of any team. They have a weak o-line.

I'm hoping this is true. While the Giants bring tremendous pressure - which in todays NFL, with the CB's unable to touch the receivers, is hugely important - I'm not sold on their run defense. I hope we run it down their throats.

I'd be OK with Superbowl MVP Anderson, instead of Brady.

Both defenses have been playing very well in the POs. Saying the Giants defense is a real big time defense while calling the Pats average is dishonest.

I watched the Ravens game again and the Pats blew several chances to blow the game wide open and that Smith TD was a sub par tackle by Moore (who made up for it later). But if those red zone trips are TDs, its a different story. I am actually feeling better about the game after watching the Ravens game for the 2nd time.

I'm a Patriots fan. Why would I lie about my assessment of their defense? My assessement may be incorrect, but it's not dishonest.
