I'll be watching alone seeing as I don't personally know another NFL fan, never mind a Pats fan. Plus its kinda hard to convince people to come over and watch a game that'll finish around 4am on a Sunday evening.

Alone..I need complete quietness and no distractions. Any other team/year it doesn't matter.

Really surprised so many people are saying alone. I'd rather get drunk with friends and watch the game even if they are giving me crap the whole time (everyone here hates the Patriots). But who cares? We gave my Steelers buddy a really hard time last year. Not the end of the world if they lose, its just the end of the night because that's when you black out.

I watched Super Bowl 42 with some family members(diehard Pats fans) and one casual Pats fans. At the end of the game I slammed my hat, the casual fan picked it up and handed it to me, so I slammed it again. This guy picks it up once more and gives me the whole "it's just a game, we'll get em next year".......no casual fans are invited this time.

I like watching with other fans, but I'd MUCH rather watch alone than watch with someone who doesn't care, isn't paying attention, and is annoying me.

I completely agree with with you on this. I hate watching the game with non Pats fans or people who don't care. Especially the Super Bowl. The non Pats fans will root against me just to annoy me and I get so into the game sometimes that when I'm watching with people who don't care they just look at me like I'm crazy. I will be watching the game with my girlfriend but she doesn't care for it and if I could I would watch the game by myself. That way I can concentrate or yell and swear as much as I want.

P.S. Baby if you're reading this I was totally kidding. :D

SUPERBOWL party at mine, big screen tv, alcohol and spread (food, word we use in the region of the UK I live in) out. So much more fun with other people.

I'm gonna do everything I can to watch this game alone. If that means implementing a little bit of deception into my conversations early next week so be it. I hate watching Patriots games with other people, unless its hardcore Pats fans like myself and I don't know any around here. Especially super bowls, how many times in your life are you going to be able to watch your team in the super bowl? I want to soak in each minute of it and appreciate each play/report/commentary there is. Doesn't happen at parties/bars. I could MAYBE be coaxed into looking into a Patriots bar somewhere in the city but prefer to be alone and attentive.

Exactly, sometimes casual fans or neutral fans can be just as annoying to me as people cheering for the other team. Just don't wanna hear a word from them

Booked Monday off so I can stay up and watch it, dome mates dont work on a Monday so were getting together to watch the game.

.....just me.....Maker's Mark....and my Mossburg shotgun.......(just kidding........maybe):)

My family leaves. I'll text a friend of mine who's also a Pats fan but generally people know just to back off.

If the phone rings, I will usually just glare at it until it stops.

Alone. In the man cave. No contact w/ outside world. Cannot stand watching big games with people around and at SB parties most fans are casual.

Absolutely alone. 99% of the time, I watch Pats games alone. I get very angry if things don't go well and I can't stand people making even a mouse's noise when I am watching. I made the mistake of watching with friends (non-Pats fans) a couple times and I am not doing that again.

Wow. I'm amazed at the number of people who take it all so seriously, that they must watch it alone. To me, part of enjoying something so special is to be with a few people who can share it and they feel the same. You're all like Tom Cruise on Cast Away watching the game with Wilson.:p

I'll be at my friends house where we watch every game. Maybe ten people will attend, all Pats fans and one Raider fan. Lobsta and beers.

Hmmm I always watch our regular season games by myself and enjoy it that way, although on occasion (@ Buffalo this year) was out with my friends and we watched it out. Typically it upsets me when I watch it with my friends as being in CT and them being buddies from NY and NJ they are mostly Giants fans. They can be rather arrogant at times especially when things are going well for them and not the other team, but I suppose that is a passionate fan!

For the Super Bowl I will be going over to one of my friends places who is a Giant fan and there will probably be 10 or so Giant fans and a Jets fan or two in attendance and myself. They are all college buddies and the same group I watched Super Bowl 42 with and I was devastated and depressed at the end result as you can imagine. I was contemplating saying no but I am confident this is our year and would rather see my friends since it's a head to head instead of staying in alone. Watching with fans of the opposing team can be stressful and annoying when things are going bad/good, but I am going to do my best to enjoy the two best teams left in the NFL and enjoy the fact that our two teams are against each other. This makes the day much more special as opposed to a SB like last years where most of them didn't give a cr*p who won.

Hoping to watch w/66,000 others. :) We'll see...

Yeah, I'm not a fan of watching it at parties. Those people are there to watch the commercials, eat food, and talk. Plus, their casual/naive/ignorant opinions on the game drive me back.

*Quarterback throws the ball away*

"Who was he throwing to?!"

"What kind of throw was that?"

I can't imagine watching this game with a Giants fan, no matter how close the friendship. I'd be afraid we wouldn't be friends anymore after the game.

I'll watch with family, all Pats fans.

I'll be watching with friends and fam. Safety in number, right?

I'm a little torn right now..... My bro, who is a Pats fan, always has a big shindig. It's generally a ball and there are about 15-20 people there. Non-Patriot years, I love going... drinking, having fun and shooting the poop with people I only see a few times a year. I watch the game, but if I miss a play or two, no biggie. My wife and kids love going too. It's a big social gathering and lots of fun.

Here's the rub......... Other then my 2 brothers and my wife and kids, there will be no other Patriot fans there. Even with my family, they are not even NEARLY to the level of fan I am (totally irrational out of my mind).

Not sure I have any interest watching this game with anyone other then DIE HARD fans. Fans that, like me, were emotionally crushed by past losses. God forbid someone shows up in a Eli Manning shirt. I cannot watch the game like that....... otherwise my azz would end up on a youtube video or something.

I don't want to be that guy...... but I think I'm gonna just kiss the wife and kids off to the party and watch this one alone.......... Well, maybe just me and my good Buddy Wiser.

I wish my Pop wasn't retired and living in Florida...... He's a fan like me and could totally appreciate where I'm coming from. We'll spend a lot of time on the phone together though........ Just like we were on the phone together when Ray Finckl........ errrrr. I mean Billy Cundiff went wide left.
