What's the problem? If it were a "Home" game, I could understand being upset.
It's only a five or so hour flight over (actually shorter than flying TO the West Coast); maybe six and a half coming back, depending on the wind at altitude.
As someone who has dealt many times with jet lag across every time zone on the planet, I know that the difference between three hours to play a Western Division team and five hours to play in London isn't all that great, especially for world class athletes.
They get a bye week right after.
The Krafts get to enhance the "global" side of the Patriots brand.
Brady gets to build up his "Q Score" in Europe for his current and post-retirement marketing ventures.
Young players who have maybe never traveled outside the Americas get to spend some free time after the game in a truly great city, with nearly all expenses paid; their WAG's get to shop at some of the world's toniest stores.
(PS: Note to NFL. Why not just make it an "Away" game for both teams? I'm certain that the League's scheduling software is sophisticated enough to work with one less "Away" game for two teams as a logistical parameter.).
I don't like it. Traveling all the way out to Old England, where they booed us in favor of the freaking Bucs. But at least the team doesn't miss out on a home game, which I'm sure Mr. Kraft had a say in.
Edit: I suppose it's good for the British Pats fans that I've seen on this forum. That has to be a thrill.
I hate it!
Disrupts the flow of the regular season, I understand wanting to make a buck and bringing the game international....but eff that! It's an American sport, keep it in America. Sorry to all the fans abroad.....but that's how I feel. You can keep soccer tho. It's all yours.

Haha, your opinion is irrelevant as this is an every year occurance now and I doubt it ever changes. Hell theres talk of even adding more games, hopefully that happens, if only to annoy people like yourself.
The players hate it
The 'home' team is always going to be a team struggling to sell out at home anyway. And season ticket holders get there price reduced. The flight is only 4-5 hours. Which incidentally is a shorter journey than flying to the west coast. I don't see you complaining about that? Here's hoping that Goodell's instistence on shoving the international market down everyone's throat fails miserably.
This is a disservice to season ticket holders - especially those losing a home game.
I can't stand it when international soccer teams play in the US, I can't stand it when Football is played abroad. I'm not going to sugar-coat it like many do....I think the politically correct group can go take a flying leap off the Zakim bridge. It sucks having a game in London. The players hate it. The majority of the fans hate it. Jetlag and bullsh*t is exactly what I want my team to deal with on a bye week. Oy!

False.
Also, the effects of jet lag are easily overcome by flight time/when the players sleep...it's only a 5 hour difference after all.
Get out more, man.
I've been to Europe, South America, all North America and the Caribbean. Loved it all. I just want my games HERE.
Just read that the Rams will be hosting the game in London for three years. Rams fans just got hosed.
