If BOB leaves, would you want JMcD back?

I'd strongly consider it, if McDaniels wanted to come back.

That said, I wonder how different things would be now that this is a GRONKnandez-oriented offense rather than Moss/Welker-oriented. . . .

Would welcome Josh back, the O would probably not miss a beat..

I much prefer JMcD to BOB. The question is would BB want him back?

Josh probably already has a house rented in KC. I take him though if he was available, I just think hes joining RAC.

McDaniels is not familiar with our NEW offense. He helped adapt a Meyer-style spread attack, which featured a deep threat in Moss and a slot guy in Welker. Our offense now is a two tight end, unpredictable attack that will pass or run depending on who they have lined up against the Patriot tight ends. It's a much more versatile offense now which McDaniels does not have experience with. I'm also not sure if McDaniels is the guy given that the Rams are dead last this year in points per game, yards, and 3rd down despite Bradford and Steven Jackson. The Rams offense was worse this year than the Colts with Curtis Painter, the Vikings with Christian Ponder, and the Chiefs with a decimated roster.

I would take him back...but I think McD would adjust office based on personnel. He tries to utilize the best the players on his roster has to offer.
If we add a deep threat ...the skies the limit...on what can be done....:rocker:

Rumor has it that the Jets might go after McDaniels. It was reported on ESPN.com. I would take him back to keep him from the Jets.

Can he coach DBs

Let the Jets take McDaniels. I'd rather promote O'Shea or Ferentz who are familiar with our new 2-TE offense having been on the staff during its development.

McDaniels will adjust fine.

I think McDaniels is a more aggressive and creative OC. I can't see him getting a HC offer with the way the STL offense played this season. Also, I can't see him staying in STL because Spagnuolo is probably being shown the door after today. He probably makes a move to a new coordinator position, and I hope BB offers him a position.

JMD would be a great pickup. He's familiar with BB/Brady and most likely to prevent a year of adjustment to a new OC. He's already failed in positions elsewhere so there's little chance we'd lose him after a few seasons like every other OC since the dynasty began. Saves the unpredictability and instability of bringing in new guys to develop and then leave anyways after a couple seasons.

Yes, in a heartbeat, because, if he comes, he's bringing Brandon Lloyd with him, and you suddenly have an outside receiving threat.

At this point in Brady's career, you just need a guy Brady trusts, and you know he trusts Josh.

I wouldn't mind having him back.
