You do not get into an argument with your position coach in the middle of a game..

You do if he who will not let you back in the game because of one mistake and is part of the reason the team runs the most vanilla, hole filled defense in the NFL.

This is just another case of BB being too stubborn and hindering the team, you cannot release Bodden & Haynesworth and expect the team to improve.

He was on 1 strike and you're out.

You have a stand-up confrontation with your position Coach. Fine, suck it up.

You have a stand-up confrontation with your position Coach and then have to be separated by your Captain and your Head Coach, and you're gone.

A shame it didn't work out. Was worth a try.

Yes, the potentital with Haynesworth is there. Yes, he flashed at times. BUT, we do not know the whole story.

We DO have Brace, Deaderick, Love...ready to step in and get the valuable PT.

We have had a taste. Now we must find a young, sane version of AH in the draft.

Dayum, we could have used that fifth-rounder to draft a CB or Safety that would have been released after a couple of games. Talk about a missed opportunity!

Disagree. We need to find some DE's, an OLB worth a damn, a CB, and a RS in the draft then go back to the 3-4.

Per Rappaport Twitter:

That's great! He was our most disruptive D-lineman this year. Thank god he is gone and Shaun Ellis is staying. Good move BB!!!

Don't see the logic.

Was playing ok. Can't be cut because of an argument. Just can't be.

Is the team giving up on the season? I mean I hope not. But to my untrained eye who else we got thats gonna help now.

Wow. Next man up I guess...

PS: IMO, He is daring Kraft to fire him

Are you really crazy to think Belichick did this without Krafts consent?

That was my first thought when you couple it with the Bodden release.

Then thinking about it, release Haynesworth = 3-4 coming back?

Jersey-bound?

I would accept it if he was cut because his back was that bad, but he was still playing so that doesn't appear to be the case. In this instance, it appears as if he was cut because he argued with Pepper. Hope this isn't one of those "get the team pissed off at you" moves ala Milloy in Week 1 of 2003 because, if it is, we're sinking to one game over .500 with the Jets taking what could be a commanding lead of the division.

Maybe they did reprimand him and he told them to screw off.

I've got no problem with this. He may have been effective in his limited snaps but if you're going to cause trouble in the locker room, "Sayonara!"

Goodbye Fat Albert! Don't let the door hit your sizable arse on your way out the door! But, how is this defense going to replace him for the 2-3 plays a game he actually deemed it necessary to exert himself.

Jersey-bound?

Unfortunately, this is probably true. The Jets, with their run defense suffering, would be nuts to not look at him.

So this is what falling pieces of the sky look like

I hate to say that I told you so, but I told you so. The guy brought nothing to the team. Carter and Anderson do not need him on the field to be effective pass rush. Waste of money, a roster spot and draft picks.
