I wouldnt go out and say that they dont want the Pats to win...but Iwill say this...and I know how the minds of sports officials work, having been an amatuer Hockey Association of the US (AHAUS) ref and certified baseball umpire...
And I think it goes back to the TUCK game.
Psychologically, in the minds of the NFL officials, when they are doing a Pats game, I believe that they still remember that call, and I believe that most of them believe that it was a fumble, and that the call is what catapulted the Pats into the positin that they now are in....
And, in their minds, not intentionally, on very close calls that may determine the outcome of a game,
psychologically (sp.) they will call it AGAINST the Pats.
The best example was Champ Bailey's fumble in and out of the end zone on the interception return last year.
There was no way in hell that theywere going to rule in fvor of the Pats on that call because,
psychologicly (sp.), they new if they ruled in favor of the Pats, they would be roasted over the coals for setting up the Pats to win, again.
Its a mind thing, and they dont even know it is happening.
BTW, will someone tell me the right way to spell that damned word above.
