Turned the game back on for the last possession - Solder false start, Solder bowled over and pushed around like a rag doll, Solder with another false start that wasn't called...Was he really this bad? Man, what I've seen of this guy I can't believe they spent a first round pick and people are already talking about moving him to guard??????? This guy strikes me as no more than a guy who'll be off the team the team before his rookie contract is up....hope I'm wrong, I'd hate to see another wasted high draft pick....

And yet, Solder is already worlds better than Vlad Ducasse. The Jets went o'fer in last year's draft. For all their picks, they walked away with a decent fullback and nothing much else.

BTW, the talk of Solder to guard is because they wanted to put their best players in the starting line up.

Also, shouldn't Jets fan be more concerned about Wilkerson sucking all preseason rather than Solder. The Pats knew that most rookies weren't going to be ready this season because of no offseason and had a back up plan at LT. The Jets are stuck with Wilkerson at DE where he clearly isn't ready.

Anyone else find that the announcers were especially bad tonight? They must have mentioned the wrong player after a play at least 10 times, commented on flags which proved they had no clue what happened.

Hated the Vereen pick when it happened, didn't show much tonight. I know its still very early, but this kid better become an extreme burner.

I think the offensive line play in the 2nd half should tell you all you need to know about the perils of evaluating RB play in this game.

Hard to show anything when the line isn't opening holes. I like what Vereen did show some when he had room to run. He was quick and make decisive decisions. Unfortunately, when he finally got in, the o-line fell apart. They couldn't run block, pass block, and made stupid mistakes.

Your a shining example of how little the average football viewer derives from the game when all they have the capacity to grasp is how to turn the set on...

He doesn't know how to move in the pocket and he doesn't know when to dump the ball out of bounds... but he should have a good amount of time to learn those things and the other fine points of his craft. When he steps into his throws he could hurt people.

Like the pick, but he needs more time in finishing school.

Wouldn't be surprised if TE Lee Smith went on injured reserve. His right hand was messed up.

Slater has looked as good as anyone. Price has shown something.

I know it's only preseason, but i am not happy at all with the way our wide outs have looked and it was a weakness that was exploited against the jets.
