Will ravens still bowers or jordan? Pats have plenty of 3rds and 4ths to trade up. Cmon bill get one of those guys!

This is an excellent point. He can report in as an eligible receiver on a 7 man front on goal line packages.

So..........we've decided that Gronk is too short for the position now?:confused:

Well, like usual, I think it's one of those picks that can only be evaluated once the rest of the picks have been revealed.

If they end up getting a front 7 guy at 28, for example, this will only look a heck of a lot better. But I think BB & Company are heeding your advice: Priority number one is protecting the franchise's most important and most valuable asset.

I absolutely agree, and I may be seeming negative to the more 'positive' people. I don't mean to. I'd say that I'm content, but not overwhelmed. As I said, with Pouncey gone, this works for me. As you note, it's not as if this is the only pick the team has.

Are all my fellow Solder fans celebrating? :D

I haven't noticed too many Solder fans the last month or so.

He's been my #1 ranked O-Lineman and #3 overall on my Pats board after Ingram and Miller -- so yes -- I'm thrilled! :singing:

From the talk here, you'd think the Pats had taken a long-snapper or a punter instead of a left tackle. Since when is LT not a high-value position?

Didn't you hear? Around here, the holy grail is that elusive pass-rusher, that Lawrence Taylor.. surely lightning has to strike twice...

You have to love the solder pick If for no other reason than that it screwed the colts! haha

Colts gets our hometown player. Thats absurd. How can we leave Castonzo for that Solder guy? Really, BB? Solder above Castonzo? Thats lol

I watched Phil Taylor play at Baylor, and let me tell you, the fact that the Browns traded UP for him, is a joke. What a big league DAWG! This guy is a slug. Yeah, he was great at the Senior Bowl, but manhandled by lesser competition.

Peyton Hillis = MEATHEAD

Taylor to Cleveland, things just got more interesting. If the Saints pass on Bowers he could make it to 28. Either way you would think 1 of Jordan, Heyward, Wilkerson or Bowers would be available at 28. I wouldn't move out.
I like Heyward.

After watching Brady get killed in the playoffs for three straight times you'd think people here would be more receptive to the idea of getting an OT.

Might want to look at those game films a bit closer. Much of Brady's playoff issues have been self-inflicted.
Seems to me ever since the focus of this organization became all about Brady ala the Colts and Manning this team hasn't won anything. I wish BB would remember that as he's passing on badly needed pass rushers in order to draft OL projects.

Colts definitely wanted Solder. It was a good pick for the Patriots.

28 would be a trade. will be a surprise if it isnt. BB still doesnt have the extra picks in next yrs draft so that will be his priority now.

dont buy everything mediots will tell. Castonzo is WAYYYYYYY better than Solder

Heyward is the pick. I've been beating this drum most of the offseason.

I think we trade 33 with all the time to wheel and deal tonight and tomorrow.

Quite a few surprise picks are pushing down players to us. We still have a chance to get an impact player on D.

Go Pats!
