Or your book could be one of the plastic ones that kids have in the bath :)

Pats will open season 9/12 @ Miami....MNF!!!

The Celtics are playing the Knicks at 7:00pm this evening but some of the local sports fans here would rather watch a schedule release show to see where the Patriots will be bringing their talents to this upcoming season? Really?

Actually, my wife is repainting the interior of a pantry closet tonight. I think I'm planning to watch it dry.:p

Last year Miami had very few home games the first several weeks, trying to make it more comfortable for their fans and avoid no-shows. There was a bit of a backlash, some saying they were forfeiting their home field advantage by doing that. Sounds like they may have listened to that criticism.

I've been to many Pats games in Miami and the heat and humidity can be really tough there in September (or even October) even more so when the visiting team is wearing dark uniforms. While the sun may not be beating down since it is a night game, it's still going to be a tough adjustment for the Pats. Unlike the northeast the temperature barely drops any in Florida when the sun goes down that time of year, and the humidity is off the charts. At least the preseason game in Tampa will give them an idea of what to expect and help them acclimate.

That honor is going to the Broncos-Raiders.

I'm hearing we open at Pittsburgh on the road.

I hope not....0-1 don't sound good

Pittsburgh at home gives NE fits....unless its in the playoffs

Re: Leaked schedule info...just for fun

Another update: Pats will host a game 12/24. I suppose they figure Pats have better chance of people to show up on that date than certain other teams?

- Pats will be on the road for opener

- Pats 3 of first 4 games will be on the road

- Pats host the god damn Jets week 5

- Pats host Giants week 9

More to come....

Schedule:
Week 1: Pats @ Miami, MNF
Week 2: ?
Week 3: ?
Week 4: ?
Week 5: Pats vs Jets
Week 6: ?
Week 7: ?
Week 8: ?
Week 9: Pats vs Giants
Week 10: ?
Week 11: ?
Week 12: ?
Week 13: ?
Week 14: ?
Week 15: ?
Week 16: ?
Week 17: ? at Pats

ESPN will have an MNF doubleheader like they have had for the last four years or so. Both NE-Mia and Den-Oak are MNF games.

Not going to get Pittsburgh week 1 unless it is MNF...No late CBS time slot and they wouldn't put it at 1:00 and the Jets have SNF vs Dallas.

I had forgotten about this (damn lockout ruining my offseason), until I saw the facebook update about Chrsitmas Eve. Now I am kind of excited...4 more minutes!!

Doubt I will watch the release special on ESPN, though. I am an avid Knicks fan and am hoping against hope they win one of these games against Boston. 1 playoff win for the Knicks, to me, is a damn sucessful season.

Week 7 bye...sweet

First glance is not bad. @Philly and then home vs the Colts looks like a rough stretch, and @Buffalo, @Oakland, vs the Jests kind of sucks but it is early in the season.

only 4 1 PM games? Am I reading that right?

Only TWO 1 p.m. games at home -- and those are the last two games of the season. I hope they don't get flexed! Everything else in Foxboro is either 4:15 or night. Sheesh.
