Browns as trap game?

I don't think it's a trap game, I think it's a flat out hard game to win and hope it's approached like that. The Browns are not as bad as their record indicates.

Perhaps Ian should just have these threads started automatically after each game. The next game is always a trap game, and the team plays one game at a time.

good idea ... the trap ones, players released are we interested ones, and oh ... what's wrong with Brady.

AHHHH! For cripes sake, can't we enjoy this win!!??

It seems like during this winning streak (!:rocker:) there's always a thread worrying about next weeks opponent not even before the post game pressers are done. This is meant as no slight to you OP. Personally, I like to soak up the game that was and start to think about the next opponent monday, maybe tuesday. Hell, I'm still trying to pick my favourite pic from this game as my wallpaper for the week. :D

EDIT-Then again, no sense of playing the game since the Browns signed Thomas Clayton this week, pump him for info Mangenius...

Mangini can only keep his job through a succession of scheme-based upsets. He's coming off a bye week. One time in his career, he completely outcoached and outschemed BB, and will surely be trying to do so again.

Danger, Will Robinson! :robot:
Nah, Fencer

One game at a time and things are beginning to go the Pats way this season. I think youre right about Mangini keeping his job with a NE win though. He bought more time with that NO win, but the Browns change HCs like I change socks.

The Patriots Revenge Tour will go on..This week Revenge on Holmgren and Mangini....

The Patriots may lose a game or two this season.

But not because it was a trap game or because they were unprepared.

they may lose because that sometimes happens in the league ... oh well.

This team from coaches through players is tight, the system is tight, the player changes are tight, communication is tight ... this ship is as tight as a crab's ass.

Mangini ....BB...Mangini...BB...
hmmmmmm
No contest.

One thing they'll both have in common next year is that they'll both be former Browns coaches.

Does this statement come from personal experience?

Get over yourselves, jerks. If you disagree, fine, but no reason to psychoanalyze your fellow posters.

I just happen to have recently read articles suggesting that BB's assistants struggled without him and that a lot of coaches were trying to avoid getting fired.

I also vividly remember how Mangini wiped the floor with BB, one time only.

Composing Negative Contrarian posts for the sake of posting is getting old Fencer...

Cleveland always plays us tough. Mangini alwas plays us tough. The game is in Cleveland. Cleveland is coming off a bye. It's not a trap, it's just a tough game.

Cleveland vs New England under BB:

07: 34-17
04: NE 42-15
03: NE 9-3
01: NE 27-16
00: Cle 19-11

Cleveland always plays New England tough?

So sorry. I didn't realize I was such a blight to the board. I'll leave.

Bingo. The Browns are a solid football team. Don't let that record fool ya people. They have played 1 team with a losing record. They lack "playmakers" outside of Cribbs, but they will play us tough and losing to them is not out of the question. But not because it is a "trap" game, but because they are decent football team.

If we lose another game this year that will be the trap game.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Seriously ... the game that I would worry most about will be when we play the Bills again.

followed by the jet's and dolphins again ... not trap games ... just tough ones, always tough ones.

2010 Browns is much improved. It will be a tough game. But, I see Patriots winning by 3pts.

I don't think anyone is arguing any differently. Mangini has coached well against the Pats in the past. Cleveland has a team that has been very competitive in all of its games, leading in the fourth quarter of all IIRC. They have beaten the defending Super Bowl champs on the road. Their defense has been disruptive, they have some playmakers in all three phases of the game.
