CT lottery had patriot scratch off tickets and had a second chance win. I won 2011 Patriot away tickets. I get 2 away tickets, 2 round trip airfare, and a hotel room for 2 and an authentic patriots jersey. So which 2011 away game should i do and which jersey should i get? This is great news on top of Deion Branch being traded back to New England:D

Definitely Buffalo. The wings here are INCREDIBLY GOOD!

I would suggest going as far as you can which is Denver. Good rivalry, beautiful city.

Whatever you choose, if you'd like to hang out with other Pats fans you should join us.

Congrats, man. Hopefully they play next year and if not, you get a rain check. The best trips look to be Broncos, Raiders and Dolphins. Everything else is pretty close.

Arlington, Texas. :D

Zoltan, of course.

Miami.....no contest!! Congrats & Have fun!! Go Pats

Congratulations!

Fly from CT to NYC to see them play the Jets!! ;)

Denver would be my choice.

Buffalo? Are you effing insane? One of the grossest cities in the country.

Here are the choices I believe:

Denver
Oakland
Philadelphia
Washington
Buffalo
Miami
N.Y. Jets
One other AFC North team (who finishes the same as us in the standings)

My choices would be either Denver or Miami. Washington would be kind of cool too if you've never been.

Miami or Denver depending on which is the game scheduled the latest in the year. If SD was away that's a no brainer.

I think SoCal Bong has the right idea; go as far away as possible, to a city you would like to go to but are least likely to visit. Let's look at your choices:

Buffalo
New York
Miami
Philadelphia
Washington
Kansas City
Denver
and one TBA, either Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati or Cleveland

Personally I don't have a burning desire to visit Buffalo, KC or any of the AFC North cities, so that would eliminate those for me. Whatever reasons there are to visit Philly, Washington and New York would have stronger cases for similar reasons. New York is a fantastic city to visit but it's easy enough to do already if you live in CT. Although it's a little further away, same goes for Washington.

That leaves Miami or Denver. Denver's about 500 miles further away from you, making it more expensive to get to and therefore less likely that you would ever visit there. Personally, I would take advantage of the opportunity and go to Denver.

Whatever you choose, congratulations and have fun.

Unfortunately, that's about it.

I used to think that ...

... until I got a job here. I'm not from Buffalo, but this is a nice city. Lots of sunshine, beautiful architecture. Lots to do.

It's got a bad rap.

It's really a pretty city... but anyone driving to orchard Park never comes within 20 minutes of the city. OP is like Foxboro.

By the way, I was joking in my original post.

I'd recommend Oakland, not because of the Raiders, but because of the Bay Area in general being a nice place to visit. Just don't wear blue to the game unless you want to be constantly harrassed by the Black Hole.

Right now its a toss up between Miami or Denver. What jersey should i choose? I get a free authentic patriots jersey on top of the trip so i am trying to figure out who to get. I am thinking of these players: Chung, Spikes, or Hernandez?

I forgot about how the NFL decided to change the schedule, so one team doesn't make two trips to California while another team only goes as far west as KC and Denver. Looks like that has already been changed, so the AFC West combination will either be San Diego and Kansas City, or Denver and Oakland.

Anybody know which pair of those games is at home for the Pats and which two are on the road?

Is KC or Oakland the 2011 road game?

There's conflicting info between these two sources:

Sneak peek at Pats' 2011 opponents - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

johnnyroadtrip.com - NFL AFC East Schedule 2010-2017

I believe the only difference is that they have the Raiders and Chiefs opposite. How do we confirm?
Looks like Johnny Road Trip put in a disclaimer along with italics for the teams involved, but did not update their future schedule.

THE NFL ANNOUNCED that in future years, teams will travel to either Kansas City and San Diego OR to Oakland and Denver when playing the entire AFC West, and to San Francisco and Arizona OR to Seattle and St. Louis when playing the entire NFC West. This does not affect the rotation of divisions or the games against like finishers within the conference, but can and does affect teams playing the AFC and NFC West in a given year. Matchups against AFC and NFC West teams beyond 2010 that are not confirmed appear in italics.

So KC is in Foxboro rather than being a road game, and the Pats are at Oakland instead of playing them at home.

To me its Miami by a landslide....Its simply beautiful down there and if the game is in Sept. or Oct. even better
