I am not now, nor have I ever been "trendy" but kidding aside I have noticed they are going for solid character, team leader, inspirational sorts. But they passed on "second coming", I love children more than most people, Tebow. Pity

I personally think this is a great pick. He's a top punter in this draft, and while it might be a little early they don't pick for another 50 picks. He's good value

Because pats don't have pick until untradable comp at end of round. Obviously wanted him so had to take him now as he'd be gone by next pick.

Exactly. The Pats have a lot of picks. No need to conserve when there are NO punters currently on the roster.

hey remember that mike sciferes almost single handidly beat the colts in the playoffs a few years ago. if zoltan does what scifers does, i will be very very happy. this league is all about field position.

Mesko was the consensus top choice at punter. Obviously, the Pats agreed and didn't want to risk missing him. Good thinking.

Zoltan the Impaler! Gotta love this guy. He was also a place kicker in high school so he's got some versatility. If he can hold for Gostkowski, he's da man. He was born in Romania and his father was a professional bowler.

The Captains drafting is a leadership thing and I hope it is intentional.

I have 3 things to note with this pick.
1--Doesnt Florida have a Punter????
2--How will TB feel if they draft his alma maters PUNTER a round before they drafted HIM???
3--We did spend a 4th on the Ghost and he was definately worth it!
