Other than people have been ignoring that there is a huge chance he will be back after Week 6 if he is PUPed...

Or that he may have more confidence in guys like Tate and Aiken helping them out than most do...

Or he may just not want to use a high draft pick on one yet.

To paraphrase someone from last year: there's a lot of WIN in this draft.

I really like this draft too (and liked last year's as well).
We're getting a bunch of tough, solid picks that aren't necessarily sexy, but building the next championship foundation.

I think what we'll target in later rounds are a guard and a center to groom and eventually take over for Neal and Koppen. Neal wants to retire and become a pro fighter.

I like this pick. Not sure where he was going to go, as in how high,

I had a post entitled "Is Spikes as good as McClain", of course people ripped it telling me I was a bum for posting it. But he has a little bit of Brian Cox in him.. not the fastest but a good blitzer, very aggressive, makes plays, hits hard....I think he can be trained to take on OL no problem.

It's a world better than Guyton, Spikes would have stopped ray rice for a 2 yard gain.

I like that he's a playmaker and a leader on the field. From a fan POV (and confirmed by some comments by players like Brady) there seemed to be a lack of leadership on the field. If Spikes become a vocal defensive leader, that could be huge for this team.

I like that Mayock stays positive on every player. I was getting tired of the ESPN chatter with all of the criticisms.

I don't think anyone wants to see any of the talking heads bash the pick their team just made, but he could have said that he felt it was a little high to draft the guy. That isn't Kiper's over the top crap that makes me hate him even more than the fact he gets paid a lot of money for being very wrong every year (everyone knows he only got the job because of his father and used that connection to con the world to think he actually knows what he is talking about).

I think its less about Welker and more that they are very high on Brandon Tate.

Definitely wouldn't mind seeing Arthur Jones for DE. Wouldn't mind seeing Decker, Williams, Roberts, or Sanders as a WR.

Jon Asamoah at guard would be nice..
