Congratulations, Saints fans. Great job today. Hope you stomp Minnesota/Dallas next week at home. Play like you did today and you'll be in good shape to go all the way. I'll be really pissed if you let one of those 2 teams make it to the SB, or if you let Indy or San Diego win the SB.

pherein - this is definitely THE Saints team we saw earlier in the year - like I said in my previous post, if you guys were 1/2 way healthier, you would have beaten us in wk15, and there would have been another "Why did the Cowboys after anoter Dec swoon?" talk...otherwise, Shockey and Bush would have been in there to block and make plays(as you know, Shockey was a Cowboy killer when he was with the Giants). If we have to play again, I can not imagine Ware having the same monster game.

Whatever adjustments Sean Payton made during the bye week, it obviously worked, and it should carry over into the Saints' next games. Getting that bye in the playoffs is HUGE for that reason - rest and more time to regroup/prepare. And, of course, your D players are healthy now.

BTW - the Saints D looks BETTER WITHOUT Charles Grant - is this guy really the slacker everyone makes him out to be?

Great post pherein, and FWIW I'm rooting for the Saints to win it all. You have a great team, and I bet you guys'll go all the way.

Thanks mayo

WE have never won a NFC Championship, not sure how I would handle that, lol. I was worried when they put that first run on us because our defense finally got 6 starter back today. I was thinking oh no not the curse!

This is only our 2nd time going to the NFC Championships

All I can say is YAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:):):):)

Well, we hope you do too. We would root for ANYONE vs Lord Favre (IF the vikes make it that far). It's gonna be especially easy rooting for the Saints. I've said it before, even though you guys blew us out, I'll bet 90% of the guys on this forum would prefer the Saints to win it all over anyone else. Great game against the cards. Good luck!

Ya we were pretty beat up for that game. The Cowboys are a good team, Payton had the Cowboys pick Romo when he was there, so theres no doubt in our minds the boy can play.
Having everyone back was really fun to see for the first time in a month. Greer is just crazy good, happy to see him finally back. We had a rookie Jinkens on austin. Austin killed that poor boy

Grant is just playing normal but is payed big money, we all love Hargrove his replacement. Hargrove has had a bad life and Payton gave him a chance to turn things around its a nice story, kid desurves a shot to take Grants place.

Looking good Saints! Reggie Bush runs that hard and physical throughout the playoffs and you'll have yourselves a SB championship.

Really don't want to see the 'Boys, Vikes, 'Bolts or the Colts win the SB....

Boy was that not what everyone was waiting for? Bush just nailed it, north to south, ran as he was drafted to run, just wow. WE belived in this kid for so long and to see a game like this, just wow, but if he fails well still believe , we are N.O. after all. He had a really good day, happy for him.

Congrats on the win! I thought the Arizona offence would show up more than it did...

Thanks we never win, Im a little taken back on this, we have only been to NFC Championship once before. We are really kind of stunned by our boys pulling this off

I think you guys will get used to it eventually. Payton and Brees are a really solid combination there, so enjoy it because it's still fresh and new, but this won't be the last time so long as you have those two there.

Great game yesterday. Bush was amazing, especially the power running. Loved the flea flicker. That seemed like a major turning point in the game. The defense really stepped up; it's amazing what healthy guys can do. And what a job by Gregg Williams this season.

Thanks for the nice words, even though those of us who followed the Pats well before 2001 do have some experience with losing seasons and losing big games. ;)

Congrats on the win yesterday, though I did think that the Cardinals would give you more of a game than they did. I don't know whether it was because of the all-out effort against the Pack last week or just too many injuries and missing parts catching up with them, but they didn't put up much of a fight past the first quarter or so.

If I were you, I'd be pulling for the Vikings today, whom I just have a gut feel you will handle. I'd be worried about the Cowboys. They have a chip on their shoulder, they have a lot to prove and they are on a mission.

So, now the Saints are "my" NFC team to win it all. I'll also be pulling for you against any team from the AFC.

PS: don't give up on next season so easily or so soon; doesn't speak well of your team or its fan base.

What a GREAT game last night. I was really happy to see the Saints win over the Cardinals, though to be honest, I thought it would be a LOT closer than it was. I will be pulling for you guys to win it all, You're my new NFC team now.

Respects,

Same here. I actually thought the Cardinals had a chip on their shoulder and would pull it off. Looks like I was wrong.

Gotta root for the Saints now! They're the only cool team left in the playoffs.

Thanks, were still trying to figure out who was wearing bushes jersey :)
Who ever it was looked like a #1 draft pick, wow.

You watch bush and you say " wow that guys is a whole different level above most players, most look like they are in slow motion around him" , but he just never got it together. Most of us cant believe what we saw yesterday , Oh my god reggie is going NORTH !! He was fun to watch.

Wow hes was something, finally reggie gets it, yahoo

We're kind of hopping for the cowboys down here, we have a 24-17 score to settle. They have been riding on our coat tails sense they beat us with half our starters out, today was the first time in 6 games we had all of our guys back. I think the vikes are a better team, but we'd like a shot at the cowboys again, as fans.

Dont worry we are aints we never give up or stop believing, thou it would be nice to store my bag in the closet for awhile :)
