could this be true? ............. i am not sure how high a pick do the PATS have in the first round of the NFL draft, but wouldnt tebow be like the 1st or 2nd pick this year?............ and do the pats need tebow? ....i think TB has a good 4-5 years(and a couple of superbowl rings) left in him..........

I REALLY have a hard time seeing the Ravens going after him. Flacco is up and coming.

The Patriots are going to need a replacement for Brady EVENTUALLY, but I really like Hoyer, and want to see what he can develop into. I really don't like Tebow very much.

ZERO chance of the Pats spending a first-rounder on Tebow.

any idea how high is the first pick for pats this year?

Your guess is as good as ours until at least January.

ESPN has no idea what the Patriots are thinking !
There story is probably based on Belichick's friendship with Urban Meyer.

Tebow is a great college player, but I would not be suprised to see him
get drafted in the second round or later.

A lot of the experts rip is throwing motion.
The same guys said the same thing about Vince Young.
How did that work out?

I am a big Tebow fan. He would be great in the wildcat or use him as an H-Back.

He is a born winner, and I would love to see him on the Patriots.
We have drafted far worse in the 2nd round in recent years.

I believe they only have their own 1st, so hopefully the 32nd. ;)

And then hopefully the 33rd will be the one from the Titans.

Pats have Edelmen for wildcat.
They have Hoyer for a developing QB.

This rumor was cooked up to help Tebow's draft status.

If the Pats draft Tebow, it's in the 4th or 5th round - as their next fullback.

I find it comical ESPN charges for this drivel and some people actually pay to read it...

I remember reading that Wayne Weaver has pretty much said that the Jags couldn't pass up on him next year. Tickets sales being the no.1 reason. I don't think they need to drum up anything as he is a definite first round pick.

I would drink to that :eat2:

Most people project Tebow as a FB and/or H Backand/or wildcat QB in the NFL; not as a real drop back passing QB.

I could easily see BB spending a second round pick on the kid, provided the offense has a functional use for the kid.

PS: Tebow has zero ST experience.

Couldn't agree more. Maybe, they use a 3rd rounder on him...maybe. But there is no way this kid becomes a franchise QB in the NFL. If he could add 20 lbs he'd probably make a great pass catching TE. He is already listed as 6'3" 245 lbs.

As a Florida resident and Gator fan, I watch every Gator game and just can't see it happening. He has stated repeatedly that he only wants to be a QB, not a half-back or fullback or what have you. I suppose that could change if nobody is willing to sign him on at QB, but for now...

And at the QB position, obviously somebody's style would have to change drastically - either Tebow's QB style, or the Pats offensive style. I also assume Tebow would prefer another option than holding the clipboard behind TFB for the next (hopefully) 5+ years. I'd think some team would offer him the opportunity to start or at least compete for a starting QB job. We shall see.

EDIT: And should he end up 1st round...yeah, no way.

Tim Tebow would not be a first round pick for any team, a lot of people have put him in the 2nd or 3rd round. I read on Insider that they could use a two QB set with Brady and Tebow in the shotgun. I could see him being used for direct snaps, not necessarily wildcat. That would be my guess.

No chance Tebow goes in the 1st round.

The question is will Tebow break the record for media/fan pre-draft chatter?

I think he will by a long shot.

If Tebow lasts until late-second early-third round you can bet BB will have an interest in drafting him.
