Re: B

To help guys like me who didn't listen to the piece, can you give some examples of what Scott said that were complimentary of Brady please? Thanks.

In addition to saying that Brady symbol of the league he also said Brady picks zone defenses apart and that you have to do certain things when you go up against great players.

Re: B

He's lost 2 of the last 3 complete games he's played in that count. And that's OK. It's pretty clear what I meant, but you get all freaked out about it and try and create another non-argument. Pop another blood pressure pill, there.

2 out of the last 3 games? Are you serious? That's how you judge a guy's performance. That's silly. If you only knew that I was laughing my arse off at you and not mad at you at all.

Cute way to pretend and posture like you're right. But it won't play.

That's because you can't read, and you can't defend his statement. Beyond that, you try to pretend it was a compliment, as you wrote earlier in this thread, when everyone and their mother knows it was an insult. The fact that you tried to spin this ("You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth") into a compliment tells everyone that you are trying to spin things. But doing it pretty poorly I might add.

But, if you look at certain games, he can obviously be slowed down. His stats PROVE IT (LOL MORE CAPS TO MAKE MY POINT LOL A+++ BUYER I LOVE EBAY :ugh:).

And getting slowed down has NOTHING to do with the Scott quote. Anyone can be slowed down. But when a guy says "I have ONLY seen Brady struggle" and then immediately follows it up with "You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth" that means he thinks Brady wilts more than other QBs, or otherwise he'd have generalized about the pressure all QBs faced. Instead, he made it personal.

Brady struggled against the Ravens in '07, and against the Jets in '09.

Again, 250+ yards, 2 TDs, 1 Int, 27 points, A VICTORY!!!
You call that a struggle and I laugh at you. Maybe Scott thinks he accomplished something during that loss.

Listen to the interview again, then. He was very complimentary.

He was NOT, he was a douche, no matter how hard you try to spin things.

He said Brady is a great quarterback.

No, he DID NOT.

Oh, this is choice. The majority of his conversation about Brady was complimentary, you go off half-****ed like one of those guys on sports radio with the over-reaction, hyperbole, and unrelenting man-love based on an arguably true claim, and draw nonsense conclusions. And ignore Brady's bad games like you can pretend they just don't exist. All the while posturing and calling names and pretending like the guy you are talking to is somehow deficient when in fact the opposite is true. It's wonderfully absurd.

The vast majority was insults of Brady. He only said, I like Brady because I like Michigan and he was a low round draft choice. That's it. The fact that you can't read or listen well or comprehend well is at the root of this entire disagreement.

OK, I've had it. You really are a complete moron and refuse to even attempt to have a reasonable discussion at this point this entire discussion is just a fruitless endeavor. I've tried to be patient with you but at this point it's pathetic.
Never argue with fools because from a distance people can't tell who is who.

I never said that I have judged Brady's entire career in just the last 2 of 3 games. I said that the last few games against very good or aggressive defenses he has struggled and the offense hasn't put up many points. Fact. But that you need to invent a non-argument in order to bolster your own nothing argument is telling.

Honest question: do you have a college degree? In what? Is it a technical field or a liberal arts field? Have you had any success in your career? You bear all the hallmarks of the internet expert.

If you only knew that I was laughing my arse off at you and not mad at you at all.

Like I care. Seriously. :ugh:

The vast majority was insults of Brady.

Not true unless you listen with jaundiced ears.

Sigh. This is factually untrue. It's also well established that he said that "To me he's a great symbol of what this league is all about." He also said that Brady picks apart zone defenses. I mean, it's staggering how convenient you try to make things for the sake of your useless internet jihad against Bart Scott. It's fascinating.

Further, the fact that you can accuse people of doing the things that you in fact are doing in greater degree than anybody else is just amazing to watch. Researchers pay good money to study this kind of behavior.

By the way, when you say things in all capital letters or in colored fonts it makes your points that much better!

The unparalleled idiocy of judging him according to a game this season and a game from two season's ago, that happened to be against one of the two best teams in football, is astounding. You give yourself way too much credit for your intellectual acuity.

You REFUSE to acknowledge that Bart Scott said "Brady ONLY struggles when I see him" and he followed that up with "You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth." Parse that for me. What does it even mean? And the fact that you think this was a compliment means you are completely out of your mind.

As for college degrees, I'm 99.9% certain I've been to better schools than you, and have more advanced degrees. But hey, you started this pissing match, and you lost it too, just like the Jets are going to lose their pissing match.

I never said things in all capital letters.

Colored fonts are direct response to you inside your posts, because otherwise you cherrypick and ignore because you know you're wrong.

If you had half a brain, you would answer this:
Bart Scott said "Brady ONLY struggles when I see him" and he followed that up with "You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth." Parse that for me. What does it even mean? And the fact that you think this was a compliment means you are completely out of your mind.

Let's see, I say that Brady has struggled recently against top defenses, and that there are other examples where I cite the numbers and you call it idiocy. Sweet. But you can't refute what I've show, you just call people names. So yeah, I think we both know what the problem is here.

You REFUSE to acknowledge that Bart Scott said "Brady ONLY struggles when I see him"

He said "that's the guy I always see". So, um, you're wrong again.

and he followed that up with "You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth."

Yup.

And the fact that you think this was a compliment means you are completely out of your mind.

I said arguably. And you're the guy who complains about people not being able to read. More evidence that you have high blood pressure and are just having a pissing contest. Sigh.

As for college degrees, I'm 99.9% certain I've been to better schools than you, and have more advanced degrees.

Don't be coy. If you're scared of making it public then PM me and we'll save you the embarrassment.

But hey, you started this pissing match, and you lost it too,

Um, no. You started with the name-calling. How else does a pissing contest get started? I've been pretty patient about the whole thing, which says a lot, in my opinion.

just like the Jets are going to lose their pissing match.

We can finally agree.

Re: B

I never said things in all capital letters.

This is fun. I'm going to do this just because.

You REFUSE to acknowledge that Bart Scott said "Brady ONLY struggles when I see him"

By the way, NEWSFLASH: The Patriots have not won every single...

I wish we could struggle like that ALL THE TIME.

He stood in there and WON those games.

That's basically ALL it says.

READ AGAIN: "You learn a lot about a guy when you punch him in the mouth."

Last two games??!! LAST TWO!!!!

Two big parts of the quote take it beyond that: ONE, Brady ALWAYS struggles.

And that's just this thread. :ugh: A++++ HORRIBLE POSTER! WOULD MOCK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, you wrote ALL CAPITAL letters.

Now I see you can't read or write.

We can finally agree.

No he hasn't struggled. Two games two years apart is not a struggle and it's certainly not what Scott was referring to. Stop spinning.

PhD, Ivy

Can you beat that?

And for good measure:

Bart Scott said "Brady ALWAYS struggles when I see him" and he followed that up with "You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth." Parse that for me. What does it even mean? You said it was a compliment. How was it a compliment?

Internet PhD!

Edit: I've never known any PhD to be so Sausserian about the meaning of words. You've got 100 years of linguistics to catch up on, there.

At least for the last 2 games he's absolutely right. 50% completion percentage, 1-1.

and he followed that up with "You learn about a guy when you punch him in the mouth." Parse that for me.

What exactly does he learn? He doesn't say. But it's likely that you can slow a guy down and make him less effective. How hard is that?

What does it even mean? You said it was a compliment. How was it a compliment?

I said it was arguably a compliment. Let me google that for you

Since he doesn't say what he learned exactly, but then goes on to talk about how great Brady is, then you could make an argument that you learn that he is a competitor. I won't go so far as to say that it is what he meant since there is plenty of room for equivocation, but one could make that argument. You'd have to ask Scott to know for sure.

Where is your PhD from?

You also spelled Saussure wrong.

AND, you're the only one having difficulty with Scott's meanings.

Everyone else knows it wasn't a compliment.

Only a stupid idiot would think that's a compliment. It's dripping with disdain and comes off the comment, I've ALWAYS seen Brady struggle.

The meaning is clear: Brady wilts when you punch him in the mouth.

Only a Brady hater couldn't see that, or else someone that missed much of the game.

Re: B

On the Internet, it's from Ecole Polytechnique!

You also spelled Saussure wrong.

Point stands. But have you taken it? Probably not.

AND, you're the only one having difficulty with Scott's meanings.

Everyone else knows it wasn't a compliment.

Looks like the guy who rails against people for not having reading comprehension skills when he's the one with the real problem is at it again. Good show!

Re: B

I win then. To quote Sean Connery, "Never bring a knife to a gunfight." You lose.

Point stands. But have you taken it? Probably not.

To quote Machiavelli, "Never use a tank to smash an ant."

Looks like the guy who rails against people for not having reading comprehension skills when he's the one with the real problem is at it again. Good show!

Still persisting in your delusion that this is a compliment?

Here, I will compliment you: you're a moron. Now you can tell everyone that you and I are friends.

No, he is less effective when you punch him in the mouth. And based on certain examples he is right. But he never said "wilts", you invented that in that cute little head of yours.

Only a Brady hater couldn't see that

Oh. My. God. Why do you hate Tom Brady?

...or else someone that missed much of the game.

Newsflash: we lost. Brady threw for a 50% completion percentage.

Oh, he's less effective. That's why Scott used the words, he struggles and then said, "You learn about a man." apparently we only learned Brady is less effective--even though the stats over his career show he's the MOST effective NFL QB when pressured. He could have said, "He's less effective." Instead, he went after his bearing as a MAN.

Keep defending punkass Scott, you show your true colors, or lack thereof. You're better off watching the Tour de France on sundays.
