I don't think Cassel can be mentioned with those other 5. Not yet.
Patriots best of all time low round draft picks? - rank them
INCLUDE ONLY THOSE WHO WERE DRAFTED IN THE 5TH ROUND OR LATER
My selections in order of best ever is as follows ....
1) Tom Brady - no kidding
2) Ben Coates
3) Troy Brown
4) Mosi Tatupu
5) David Givens
Whats your top 5 best ever?
I'd add Matt Cassel to that list.
He turned in a winning season and will likely transform magically into a couple of draft picks and maybe a Tony Gonzalez. You've got to rank that dude high.
High, yes. I just think that 5 (plus Grogan and probably some others) is too esteemed to add Matt to quite yet. Maybe soon. IMO, of course.
Ah, I must have a dust speck on my eye where the 5 is. I was just thinking of noteworthy low picks. My bad.
I don't think Givens belongs on that list. He was strictly a system reciever who virtually disappreared into thin air when he left the team.Patriots best of all time low round draft picks? - rank them

Still, I believe he was strictly a Tom Brady by-product.he got injured early in his tenn time.....never came back
