Based on recent Patriots trading/drafting history, futures a season or two down the track sounds about right.
I'm also conceeding the tight rope we are balancing with the salary cap as it were, with several of our own big names due for extensions soon.
In an ideal world, I'd take James Harrison or Ed Reed without blinking an eye if either were available.
The emergence of Cassel has put the Patriots into a solid position to improve the composition of the team in the coming years.I'd rather have Calvin Johnson, but I like what you're thinking about turning the pick around.
