Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

Deion Branch- Big game player.

Troy Brown- Big game player.

Randy Moss- Great stats, big game player?

Look at superbowl, afc championship, etc

Exactly. I like Moss, so it pains me to say this, but he is starting to look like the arod of this team. He has big numbers, but is nonexistent in big games. I hope Brady returns in old form next year because like the rest of the team, he makes Moss look better than he is. And Gaffney better not be on this team next year.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

You may have a point. It bothered me to see Moss laughing on the sideline in the 3rd quarter.

Yeah...he should have sat by himself and pouted. LMAO...he just cant win either way...

Excluding Faulk...atleast it was a team effort to stink up the joint.

We should be all just glad that the Jets lost today.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

Moss was hearing footsteps on the first drop. He's seen too many players get laid out like Welker did later in the game and he knows he's got a big bullseye on his back.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

It is hardly this game only. Moss has been crap all season.

I don't know if Moss has become Oakland Raiders Moss all over again cause he got his contract or if it is because he came for TB and without TB he figures why bother, but he has dropped more balls than he catches.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

Randy Moss is a flakey and very talented wide out. He's not a staple, 100% count on, will bring it type. You never get the sense the guy puts his will out there on the field. He's a 6'4" athletic freak, but not what I call a gamer. A great weapon, but hardly a leader.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

These posts are such a joke. "Moss has been crap all season" "Moss is flaky" "Moss isn't a big game player"

A guy drops 2 balls on a day where EVERYBODY dropped passes and all of a sudden he can't play. Meanwhile, Cassel has missed him on 5-6 TD's minimum this year (including on the play before Moss dropped the TD) and some people want to keep Cassel over Brady.

It's pretty sad that the whole team played an awful game and the result is a lot of people bashing Randy Moss. It's pretty apparent that the standards are way different for Moss than other players on the Patriots, at least for some posters. The entire team played terrible today with the exception of Kevin Faulk. Gostkowski, Cassel, Deltha O'Neal, Matt Light and Matt Slater all were "worse" than Randy Moss if you insist on blaming the game on just one player.

I'll take Moss over any receiver in the league, and I know BB would too.

Moss drops 2 to 4 passes EVERY GAME and given how infrequently the ball get thrown to him that is a lot. At the beginning of the season folks wanted to blamed Cassel, but it is now clear Moss is just not trying.

Moss was one of many Patriots who had a very bad game.

he gets thrown to 8-9 pases per game on average. Hey, you hate Moss we get it, but its a stupid post and inaccurate.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

Tom Brady wins this game....period!

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

It happens. Moss gets a pass because he has been great his whole career. And the rain doesn't help. However, Slater does not get a pass.

Wow. They level of disdain you have for Moss is amazing. It is making you irrational.

Re: Could Moss have had any worse of a game???(merged)

The only thing I find interesting about Moss is that it looked like they had him in single coverage quite often.

While I might fault the playcalling of 3 straight passes to Moss in the Red Zone if he was double covered, its tough to criticize that if a 6'5" guy like Moss is single covered.

I just chalk this up to rainy, wet, and cold conditions not being condusive to catching passes.

It was a weird game. Was one of the few games I have seen where everybody...Patriots and some Steelers included...were droping passes and muffling balls left and right...maybe the weather did have an affect...even if that announcer guaranteed that it had nuthin to do with the rain...lol...
