Foxboro Stadium:

On February 18, 2002 the demolition of Foxboro Stadium commenced. One month earlier the last game at the old stadium occured. Clutch field goals by Adam Vinatieri in a blinding snowstorm resulted in the Patriots defeating Oakland. That historic playoff game is known as the Snow Bowl in New England; to everybody else it is the Tuck Rule Game.

Kraft did add later, “I happened to see Archie [Manning] there. He has two sons now who have won two Super Bowls, but with all due respect, we’ve got one son who has won four.”

Fletcher has always excelled at being a special teams’ standout and a good reserve linebacker who can spot start when needed and always did a good job of covering running backs out of the backfield.

Wilson has made his mark as a reserve, playing mostly dime linebacker in the ‘Big Nickle’ sub-packages or on Special Teams.

Brady was sharp, completing 28 of 42 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns on the day. His numbers would have been even better had not the Patriots suffered a case of the drops especially in the first half.

Edelman is particularly effective at getting open at the line of scrimmage and allowing Brady to get the ball out quickly which helps an offensive line that is battered, bruised and has been leaky down the stretch.

Bill Belichick and Matt Patricia had plans to beef up the front seven and trust in some young players in the secondary to carry the team this season.

Brady led the NFL in touchdown passes with 36 with only 7 INTs and had a passer rating of 102.2. He also led the league in touchdown to interceptions ratio with 5.1.

Martin and LaFell contributed three catches for 11 yards against one of the poorer pass defenses in the league…that isn’t getting it done and is unacceptable.

Brady was vintage; he hit on 14 of 17 for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the comeback win.

Fitzpatrick is having the best season of his career completing 61 percent of his passes, with 3428 passing yards and 26 TDs and just 12 picks for 89.6 passer rating on the year.

The Patriots committed the cardinal sin in all of sports; don’t ever, ever let an inferior team hang around, because it come back to bite you.

The Patriots and Bills meet on Monday Night Football and with a victory, New England can just about wrap up the AFC East for another year. That would put them five games up on each team with six to go.

Jamie Collins will miss his 3rd game in a row with a mystery illness as well as rookie Cb Justin Coleman and WR Julian Edelman who broke a bone in his foot
