After a decade-long absence due to NFL helmet rules, “Pat Patriot” and the classic red jerseys will return to Gillette Stadium this fall following a policy change by the league and some encouragement from the Patriots.
On Thursday, the team made the news official with an incredible homage to the 1980’s classic film “Back To The Future” in a video reveal featuring Kendrick Bourne, Matthew Judon, Matthew Slater, David Andrews, and an appearance by a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
As for when the uniforms will make their appearance, the game dates remain unknown at this time.
A few Patriots reacted to the news and shared some behind-the-scenes clips during the making of the uniform reveal video.

Unfortunately, one former Patriot didn’t take the news of the uniform changes very well since his team will not be getting throwback jerseys this upcoming season.
