The New England Patriots rolled into Houston for week five against the Texans looking to snap a two-game losing streak, but breaking the skid wasn’t going to be easy as the Patriots found themselves down four starting offensive linemen heading into the contest.
So how would the new look offensive line fare?

The first quarter saw the Patriots struggle out of the gate, as Texans rookie quarterback David Mills put the home team on the board first.
An eleven yard touchdown pass to Antony Auclair was the only scoring in the opening frame.
In the second quarter the Patriots responded when Damien Harris tied the game at 6-6. Oddly enough, both starting placekickers missed their first extra point attempts.

The remainder of the second quarter didn’t get any easier for the Patriots as David Mills found Chris Moore deep for a 67 yard touchdown pass to regain the lead at 12-6. Yes, another missed extra point.
In what became a forgettable first half for the Patriots, linebacker Matthew Judon continued to be a bright spot on defense.

Both the Texans and Patriots traded field goals to conclude the first half, 15-9 Houston through two.
The Texans regained the ball to open the third quarter, and an already bad afternoon appeared to get even worse for the Patriots following yet another David Mills touchdown drive.
Mills found Chris Conley from 37 yards out to extend the Texans lead to 22-9.
Texans starter Davis Mills is only the 2nd rookie QB to throw 3+ pass TD against Bill Belichick's Patriots in a single game
Russell Wilson also did it in Week 6, 2012 (Seahawks beat the Patriots 24-23)

Needing some kind of spark to get a rally going, the Patriots would find it through a terrible mistake by the Texans special teams unit.

The Patriots would cash in on the short field with a Nick Folk field goal followed by another a drive later to bring them within seven heading into the fourth quarter.
By the start of the fouth, the Patriots defense had begun to figure out the Texans offense, providing Mac Jones the opportunity to bring the team back from a 13 point defecit.
The rookie out of Alabama would deliver.
Mac Jones woud find Hunter Henry on third down to tie the game at 22 all.

Hunter Henry leads the Patriots in catches (5) and yards (65) through the air today, and now has a touchdown. One of the Patriots' bright spots in a sloppy game.

With the clock winding down on the game and the Texans offense still being shut down, the Patriots would complete the comeback with 17 seconds remaining.
A Nick Folk 21 yarder iced the game for New England and the Patriots would leave Houston with a gutsy 25-22 win.
