It’ll be nearly 20 years since Drew Bledsoe last threw a pass for the New England Patriots, but he continues to show admiration and involvement with the team that drafted him first overall in 1993.
On his Instagram Wednesday, Bledsoe shared some pictures from the 2017 AFC Championship game when he was an honorary captain and a team party that involved Robert Kraft and Troy Brown.
Blesdoe reflected back on both moments while slipping in a prediction for the 2019 season.
“Such an honor to hand the Lamar Hunt trophy to my buddy RKK two seasons ago. I wonder who will hand it to him this year?? (the second pic is from @troybrown_80 ‘s basement when the boss showed up to party with us!! Any other owners out there who party with their ex players?? Not that I know of!!”
Despite a rather unceremonious end to his Patriots tenure that saw Bledsoe traded to the Buffalo Bills when Tom Brady replaced him as starting quarterback, he maintains a positive relationship with the franchise in retirement.
Back in June, Bledsoe also joined Kraft along with current and former Patriots for the “Touchdown In Israel” trip.
Bledsoe was inducted into the Patriots team Hall of Fame in 2011.
