8) Pernell McPhee — The Ravens couldn’t afford to keep McPhee after a strong performance last season. The outside linebacker is a well-rounded player, offering pass rush help and the ability to set the edge. While the Patriots added Jabaal Sheard last off-season, prior to Chandler Jones’ departure, McPhee could have helped this group as a whole while definitely making them more dangerous.
