That's a great list but I think you cut Samuels not Hobbs.
As far as I'm concerned Asante has shown he does not want to be here.
If the Pats have not signed him by now he is probably going to be a **** head and sit out even if he has to give up that franchise cash. Figure he'll keep him self healthy for his next team that he thinks will overpay him.
Hobbs will come around just like Asante did. Hobbs may even be ahead of him year for year.

Ingenious! It certainly would tip the balance of power more than almost any other move. But taking that approach of "it's not just what you gain, it's what they lose"...why not cripple the opposition AND improve your team? Tomlinson & Maroney would make a nice pair of backs. And Denver wouldn't look the same without Champ Bailey. (Merriman could be a contender, but I just don't want the guy around.)

BTW, interesting that nobody has suggested a franchise left tackle.
