Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

I don’t see the point of having a discussion about the things you agree about. Of course if I am going to discuss something it’s the part I don’t agree with. Unfortunately what happens here goes something like this:
Someone comments that the police lied to get a warrant so they could see people naked and watched for a month before doing anything while girls were being raped, before any facts are known, including anyone seeing the actual warrant.
I respond that there is reporting that this was a trafficking case, so if they believed that I understand the video surveillance, that we have no idea how long they taped and we don’t know the facts
People go page after page arguing the strawman that I said I know there was trafficking, that I think people are guilty because the police accuse them and that I’m good with police watching girls get raped.
It’s ludictois.

There were no questions to ask. You stated your opinion and stated that your police officer friends told you so. I didn’t accept that as significant because I don’t know you or your friends and opinions are not fact.

That’s not true. My entire reaction is to further discussion on the areas I disagree. There is no discussion needed on the parts I agree with.

I still don't understand the argument of why a "delayed notice warrant" isn't wiping your *** with the 4th amendment but I'd love to hear the counter argument from the legal "scholars" on this board to convince me otherwise.

I’m sure the 4th amendment issues with delayed notice warrants would be hotly debated among true legal scholars.
Constitutional issues are rarely cut and dried and very few laws are found to “wipe the ass” with the constitution.
You just have to be open to listening to the opposing view and understanding it has as much validity as your view.

The whole thing reminds me of a French fire drill

A whole lot of brouhaha that demonstrates how poorly the police and the AG did their jobs and how they manipulated the Courts... Kraft did something really stupid, and now to hide their own incompetence that want to embarrass him??

If the taping was done under for fabricated reasons resulting in a charge and playing the TMZ obsessed media, what is the value. The only thing that comes to mind is to play to the public of Fla as to what a "good job" they have done even though they used illegal means??

This speaks volumes about Fla justice... a legal system "rope a dope" or another great distraction??

Then who the f... wants to watch a 77 year old man getting a hand job or BJ???

It was obvious a month ago. But in today’s society, media publishes unproven speculation as fact and too many people react emotionally and take it as the truth.

There is no emotion in news.

Another great example is the way the Pats filming of the Rams walk through took off.

It's more like rationalizing an abuse of power. I think people are grossly underestimating how potentially dangerous this is.

Nobody understands you. You're the one correct person and its everyone else that's wrong. We're all stupid. It's so clear now. Thank you.

It may have taken you a while to get there but now that you have come to the correct conclusion bless you my son, go forth and sin no more.

It could be argued people overestimate how dangerous it is. And the other side of the debate is preventing crime and criminal enterprise. If an undercover cop infiltrated a nazi white supremisist group that was murdering and torturing minorities and a delayed notice warrant was obtained would you feel the same way?
My point is you have to look at all sides and look at the law not a single application of it.

No doubt though it’s a complicated issue.

Believe it or not, there's a fetish category for such videos on websites like pornhub.com. If the Kraft video gets released it will live in perpetuity there and elsewhere, just like other celebrity sex videos. It is easy to understand why he's fighting to prevent its release.

You do realize the word “discussion” doesn’t infer “to disagree”, don’t you?

So you just admitted you prefer to take the contrarian view. That makes you a “Contrarian”.
No I did not at all. I said that i create discussion on points I disagree with or question. I see no need to go around a message board saying “I agree”.
That isn’t contrarian.

People discuss things they agree upon all the time, but somehow I don’t think you’re aware of that.
That’s fine if they want to do that but I see no value in it. How does “I agree” spark discussion?

Also, the goal of any discussion is never to “win”, but you come across as someone that “competes” rather than “discusses”. A balanced and humble person weighs what another person says.
100% not true. As I said, I respond to the portions that I disagree with to spark discussion

My police friends were spot on and because I know they understand protocol and law far more than you or I will ever understand it, I took their comments as both logical and very likely to be true.
Ok well if you think “I know someone and they told me... and I really believe them” is a discussion ender that proves something with certainty I don’t know what to tell you.

You need some humility Andy, like me and every poster here, you’re just another bozo on the bus. You need to accept that deep within your psyche because we never know when that bus ride will end.
Dude it’s an anonymous message board.
Pats fans.com isn’t a debating board, it’s a discussion board buddy. Are you this intense about everything in life?
It’s actually whatever each user wants it to be.

Oh, and you can respond without breaking down this post into fragments. I know that’s a challenge for you, but try it! It’s much more efficient
Actually it’s neither. Breaking into fragments is for clarity. You felt the need to put numerous individual points into one post, so I obliged by responding to each on its own.

Open again due to new developments however arguing and trolling will just get it locked again. Thread is about Kraft not Andy.

I hope Kraft sticks to his guns, release of the video be damned. Stand up for your rights and don't be intimidated by intentionally obtuse prosecutors.

????

Prosecutors are gonna release the vid.....came here to read that thread???

Kraft porn soon to be released. Feel bad for the guy

Florida prosecutors plan to release Kraft video

Florio agrees with all of us (minus one). Prosecution isn’t doing this because they are being forced to (that could be a court order.). They’re just being a-holes just like with everything else in the case. The (what looks like an illegally obtained) video is all they have. They suck.

Someone pass on my prepared statement to Robert Kraft. I recycled the one from deflategate for him. ;):D

“It’s been an emotionally charged couple of weeks as all of you know, and I’ve been considering what my options are. Throughout this whole process there have been two polarizing audiences. At one end of the spectrum we’ve had Patriots fans throughout the country who have been so supportive and really inspirational to us, and believing in us, but I’m also mindful at the other end of the spectrum there are fans that should feel just the opposite, and what I’ve learned is the ongoing rhetoric continues to galvanize both camps, and I don’t see that changing, and they will never agree. But the one thing that we all can agree upon is the entire process has taken way too long, and I don’t think anyone can believe that after four months of the AFC Championship game we are still talking about air my ball pressure and the PSI in footballs my ball sack.

So, I think I made it clear when the report came out that I didn’t think it was fair – there was no hard evidence and everything was circumstantial – and at the same time, when the discipline came out, I felt it was way over the top, as it was unreasonable and unprecedented in my opinion.

So, I have two options: I can try to end it or extend it, and I have given a lot of thought to both options.

The first thing that came to mind is 21 years ago, I had the privilege of going to a meeting similar to what we’re at here, in Orlando, and being welcomed in an NFL’s owners’ meeting. So here’s a fan and a former season ticketholder living a dream and being welcomed in that room, and I got goosebumps that day and I vowed at that time that I would do everything I could to make the New England Patriots an elite team, and hopefully respected throughout the country, and at the same time do whatever I could do to try to help the NFL become the most popular sport in America.

You know, what I’ve learned over the last two decades is that the heart and soul of the strength of the NFL, that it’s a partnership of 32 teams and what’s become very clear over those two decades [is] that at no time should the agenda of one team outweigh the collective good of the full 32. So I have a way of looking at problems that are very strong in my mind, and before I make a final decision, I measure nine times and I cut once, and I think maybe if I had made the decision last week it would be different than it is today, but believing in the strength of the partnership and the 32 teams, we have concentrated the power of adjudication of problems in the office of the commissioner, and although I might disagree with what is decided, I do have respect for the commissioner and believe that he’s doing what he perceives to be in the best interest of the full 32.

So, in that spirit, I don’t want to continue the rhetoric that’s gone on for the last four months. I’m going to accept, reluctantly, what he has given to us, and not continue this dialogue and rhetoric, and we won’t appeal.

Now, I know that a lot of Patriots fans are going to be disappointed in that decision, but I hope they trust my judgment and know that I really feel at this point in time that taking this off the agenda, this is the best thing for the New England Patriots, our fans, and the NFL, and I hope you all can respect that. You know, I would normally take questions, but my desire is truly not to continue the rhetoric, and so I’m going to leave this discussion exactly here. Thank you very much.’’
