Alright. Lets face it. Our injured secondary will hurt us if they're still hurting come playoff time. But so far, our defense has been pretty damn good.

Some Defensive Stats off of nfl.com

Passing Defense: 15th
(PASSING TD's GIVEN UP: T-1st)

Rushing Defense: 2nd

Scoring Defense: 2nd

Total Defense: 4th

Pro Football Weekly publishes a unique set of football stats. www.profootballweekly.com

They have a weekly Team ranking for many (like 40-50 ) stats. The Patriots are in the top half of the league in all but a couple of kicking statistics. They also place next week's opponents side by side, for easy comparison. On an inspection you would think that Chicago should be a 10 point underdog and not have 9-1 record to date, two games better than the Patriots, as their statistics just do not stand out.

In most cases, across both the regular offense and regular defense, the Patriots are in the top ten. From a statistics standpoint, this club is better than any of our SB clubs. It definitely confirms and conforms to the Belichick dictum "no holes anywhere!" It is also the youngest of ther Belichick team's by far; and as might be expected, some youngster breakdowns have occurred.

Thanks for bringing these perspectives to our attention, folks.

Now, let's see - the offense is definitely going to get better before the playoffs ........ Hmmm. Great to be a Pats fan !!

Seems like the defense has been carrying the load. Now it's time for the offense to pick up the slack.

Dont ask me why, but I see a big offensive output vs. the Bears. Must be the NFC North charm.

Hey, NEM, I hope you're right on this one!
