I thougth this was a good discussion topic.

Is this the best 3 consecutive games of defense in the BB era?

The numbers say yes.

Is it possible that we will carry the best defense (the way they are playing at the time) into the playoffs that BB ever has?

2 more like this and when we start the playoffs no one will have done anything against us at all since Thanksgiving weekend.

How interesting would it be if this year, after all the trashing the D took, at playoff time it was the best we've ever had?

Numbers DO Lie

While I am very happy with the play of the defense, these past 3 games are not an indicator that our current D is the best we have had... that is just nuts.

I think one of the best defensive performances of all time was shutting down the Greatest Show on Turf for 3 quarters.

Another one was beating the Titans and then the Colts in back to back playoff games in 03 ... those were two fantastic offenses.

Holding the colts to 3 pts in the playoffs last year... you know... the Colts with TD machine Manning... couldn't be stopped... yada yada yada.

Also, we have had a number of shutouts over the past 3 years.... I think you have to look at the competition. Other than TB, the other two teams sucked.... and even TB had a mediocre QB.
