Day 2 wishlist

Adonai Mitchell
Ladd McConkey
Keon Coleman

Jackson Powers Johnson C
Zach Frazier C
The better value is at the center position rather than guard or tackle. Plug and play 10 year centers.

Kind of meh on the tackles. Could be good, could be bad sort of feeling. Seems like the names remaining were all late risors just in the last few weeks. Some really athletic ones though. So you have that.

Braden Fiske DT. Would like to see a move up into the latter half of the 2nd for him.
Buffalo is drafting Mitchell. Book it!

I wouldn't write off McConkey like many are just because he's not the type of WR we need on the current roster. Osborn signed a 1 year deal. Bourne's contract was structured in a way that gives the team an out after a year if they want it. And regardless of contract status, those aren't the caliber of guys you make roster decisions off of.

For round 2?

My wish is to keep letting Wolf cook!

LFG PATS.

Ladd McConkey
Roman Wilson
Cade Stover
Tez Walker
Malachi Corley
Blake Fisher
Kingsley Sumataia
Patrick Paul
Christian Jones
Johnny Newton
Jonah Ellis
Mo Kamara
Jalyx Hunt
Tvondre Sweat
Cam Hart
Mike Sainristil
Jaden Hicks

In no particular order. A few reaches perhaps, based on consensus, but all players that would help improve us.

No 2nd round WR.... Recall memories of Bethel Johnson, Chad Jackson, Aaron Dobson, honorable mention to N'Keal who was basically a 2nd rounder.
How about a CB?
You missed boney T

The things I'd really like to see this team add over the next couple of years, in no order:

- Outside "X" receiver
- long term improvement at the Z receiver (Osborn on 1 year deal, Bourne nothing special)
- franchise LT
- long-term starting RT so Onwenu can eventually kick back inside
- elite center to take over for DAndrews and leave JAndrews as depth
- starting LG because I don't think Strange is good enough that we'll want to re-sign him in 2 years
- dominant DT to pair with Barmore inside
- deep FS so we can get back to more cover 1 man
- outside CB opposite Gonzalez
- true 3-down stud ILB
- game-breaking RB
- every down force of an edge rusher since Judon is older and Jennings/Uche are part timers

So honestly, other than a special teams guy, a second rookie QB, or another box safety type, there's really no position that isn't on my wish list lol

I don't write off McConkey. I feel like he is really good. One of the top route runners in this draft. But you do have to consider that his size at 5'11 186 is on the small side and that he's more suited for the slot, a position where we already have Pop Douglas.

I would be more comfortable taking a McConkey after a trade down. I think he would be a legit weapon on 3rd down. But he will have overlapping skillset with Douglas.

I think McConkey is more like Edleman/Branch type as a guy who can play in the slot or outside as opposed to Amendola/Troy Brown types who were more pure slots. I have Pop as a pure slot, so I could see them coexisting. Definitely some overlap though, as you say. No question there.

Kingsley Suamataia is still available.

It's a close call, but in my opinion I'd prefer to go with him at #34, then WR at #68.
What about the kid from Yale? Kiran amedjadjie or whatever.

Or Cooper Kupp.

I like Amagadjie or Fisher in round 3. Talented guys, might need a little more polish and development. Rosengarten is another possibility. So even if we don't take a tackle in round 2, there's a few decent prospects later on too.

So basically you want a team of allpros?

So basically you want a team of allpros?
Well yeah that would be great haha. But obviously I understand that all of those guys wouldn't be all pros. My larger point is just that I'm not concerned with positional needs. I figure that pretty much the entire roster is going to be changed over even just 2 seasons for now. So I'm not limiting my wish list to guys who play our biggest "need" positions now.

Interesting because you want another Ras IR Dowling, Joejuan Williams, or Terrance Wheatley at CB?
Busted... I forgot about that since we've managed to get good Db's over the years as opposed to how bad the WR drafts have been. Probably because they draft a lot more DB's.

I want McConkey. Gives me chills having our own version of Cooper Kupp

The Patriots send #34 and #180 to the Jaguars for #48, #96, and #153. Sound good? Found here.

New regime...we have a coach who listens to the scouting team.

Blake Fisher the OT from Notre Dame that the Patriots have met with twice may go to the Ravens at 62. A lot of people have speculated that at 68 the Patriots would love him.

So OT needs to be addressed. Taking McConkey at 34, for example, and hoping for a quality OT at 68 like Fisher sounds too risky to me.

don't like this trade . 48 is too far down would prefer to be in early 40s and early 50s using a trade down and trade up from 34 and 68 . At this pointconsideribgvthe draft class , we should just take a wr as it intersects with need and BPA.
