Player Signing Onwenu Re-signed Per Ian Rap: 3 years: $57 million.

I wonder if they will still try sow at rt

What I’m gathering so far:

The team is bringing back the right guys. And letting the “wrong” guys out the door.

I want to see some outside talent brought in. But I’m pretty happy with that side of things so far. Nice change from some of Bill’s later off seasons.

The biggest signing in my opinion. The worst thing for a potential rookie QB or any QB for that matter is lack of protection. HUGE HUGE resign.

Fantasy Football wise, Fields is really good. In reality he just doesn't seem to be that guy. Then again, how many weapons did he have?
He had one top tier wr1 and a very good TE. Not sure what the rest of their offense looked like.

Figured he'd always be back when he fired his agents. I mean you don't fire your agents before your first free agency if you have decided you are chasing big money. Think he saw was out there today and Pats were comparable.

LT ?
LG Strange
C Andrews
RG Onwenu
RT Okorafor
-----------------
RG Sow

Pats have some flexibility upfront considering Sow was pretty good as a rookie. Add Tyron Smith & they could draft BPA at 34 atleast.

Garropolo is better than Fields and won’t cost a draft pick
Fields can extend drives has a cannon and is tough.
It’s like drafting a mix of Jayden Daniel’s and Joe Milton with a third to 5th rounder.

Why pay Brisket 20 mill a season.
Insanity id rather roll the dice with Zach Wilson, Sam Darnold or Drew Lock.

Thinking this way too. I feel like bringing in Smith could let you wait until the mid rounds for a tackle prospect if needed.

You do know Justin Fields and CJ Stroud are different people, right?

I like it for multiple reasons. Homegrown guy, versatile, and they don't seem to have any concern he isn't a scheme fit for AVP's offense.

Wasn’t just lip service in Wolf’s press conference then.

Consistent, and a bit lower, than the contracts top guards have been receiving today. His versatility to play RT is a good thing but let’s hope he doesn’t have to play there because he’s only adequate there (which is certainly better than our other options). Makes me think the team isn’t quite as high on the Strange, Sow, and Mafi combination as some folks here are. Anyway, glad he’s back, and glad we can finally end the “haven’t resigned any of its draft picks to 2nd contracts since the 2013 draft” comments.

I think there is a chance Sow is starting over Strange.
