Curious how the media looks at Purdy after this one.

He wasn’t exactly pristine tonight, but sure wasn’t why they lost the game. Did what he had to do late.

Defense had chance after chance to win the game and they came up short.

Also a painful lesson that you can’t neglect your offensive line. So many plays were not able to get off because the Chiefs were at the QB within moments.

I do agree that Shanahan kind of blew it tonight
but Mahomes is already up there with the all time greats. He is poised clutch and a great great leader.
Those are the facts. Even though we all wish Brady could stand alone on the pedestal as GOAT.... you can see it clearly. Mahomes is right up there with him and has a great chance to surpass him.
He is mentally and physically tough as nails.
I agree.

But my thinking is....debates like this will never be settled. It's not a question that has one answer. Guys like Bayless are tweeting right now that Brady would have defeated SF by 14 in regulation. As if SF is some mediocre team who made the SB. But you will get guys like Wright who is a KC fan and obviously biased.

For now:

Brady
Montana
Mahomes
Manning
Elway

Yes you seem very upset that the Chiefs won and that they are getting praised and are very intent on minimizing what they did.

You may not be receptive to it, but you, and a few others, sound exactly like the people who used to get upset over the Patriots when they were winning back in the day.

The Chiefs winning or not winning doesn't effect me because it has nothing to do with the Patriots ability to win or not. So I simply don't care and can just appreciate it for what it is.

It's just not that impressive my friend. The Patriots literally just did this.

Let me know when he gets 7.

hasnt proved it physically. he has to have longevity to beat brady.
true...but just talking overall skill as a QB. Question for you is at their peak who would you rather have as your QB in one must win game?

I think Mahomes running ability and mobility gives you a better chance to win in a must win situation. Brady as great as he is could be shut down with pressure up the middle. Mahomes not so much.

It's easy to criticize Shanahan but i'd take him as my coach in a second, he's lost his Super Bowls to the best 2 quarterbacks in NFL history and keeps getting back with middling quarterback play.

No, of course not; variance exists, especially in sudden-death sports like football where 7-game series don’t exist.

But there is a reason that over 50% of Super Bowls since 2000 have been won by Brady, Mahommes, Manning, or Rodgers- the four of which you can argue are Top 5 QBs of all-time.

Quarterbacks are the ONLY things that matter.
58 Super Bowls. Brady 7, Mahomes 3, Montana 4, Manning 2, Brees 1, Rodgers 1, Starr 2, Unitas 1, Bradshaw 4, Staubach 2, Farve 1, Aikman 3, Elway 2

That's 33 of 58 won by guys who would be considered easy top 3 in their respective era.

It's not the only thing, but it's definitely the most important thing.

You keep telling yourself you're the Patriots but you're not. There's zero chance at my homes is going to play into his 40s.
He has 3 titles. 6 years in.

You don't think it's crazy to think they win in 2025 etc?

Winning 3 Super Bowls in 6 seasons isn't impressive???, how can you win 7 Super Bowls when you've not even played 7 seasons?

He's literally winning a Super Bowl 50% of the time.

If you didn't think it was that impressive, you would just not be impressed by it instead of repeating it over and over again to convince everyone else.

This kinda sounds like someone going around telling all their friends that the girl who rejected them and is dating their rival "isn't that hot anyways".

I commend those of you who are actually able to continue watching through the postgame . I turned it off the minute hardman caught the pass. My wife turned it back on to watch Taylor and I just pretended i was going up to sleep

I’m gonna just keep hitting on futures for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. At least I got a couple hundred out of this.

Chiefs defense was great tonight. I thought Purdy played well but Chiefs defense was much better than niners D.
Losing Greenlaw was huge loss

ESPN ball washing Mahomes and kelce.

No Chris jones or chiefs d being interviewed or talked about. That's just terrible.

Had it not been for that first season and some of the moments he had, I would have been with you but he did some good things and showed flashes. The problem was he wasn't a finisher and he proved to be mentally weak when the going got tough. But with a young QB, you have to see it through to make sure.

Same with the people who loved Zappe and then dropped off when he faltered. I gave him the benefit of the doubt also because for a while, he wasn't an error repeater and seemed to be a guy who learned from his mistakes. I was hoping either guy could be "good enough" to buy them time to keep drafting and bringing guys in. Unfortunately, both proved unable to do that.
Hey dude - Zappe could still be the guy...

Hes been pretty bad I'm 3 out of his 4 Superbowls.

Their time is ticking.

He's literally winning a Super Bowl 50% of the time.

Welcome to the new NFL. Patriots just did that did they not?

I mean this isn't very hard. Call me when he does something no one else has ever done than that would be impressive.

Urinalities are pretty ****ing terrible and sound like some personal experience you might have had you got something you want to say to anybody?
