Speculation: BB could leave after 2021

I believe Bill completely enjoys working with his sons. He used to talk about his biggest regret was missing a lot of their childhood.

I don't see why he would leave that.
If he was GM, he still would be. Maybe he’s thinking he has a hard time relating to today’s athlete but still loves the game, so wants someone he trusts as a HC while he can focus on something that doesn’t require as much day to day interaction with the players (dealing with their stuff).

I’m sure he’d also be on the practice field regardless coaching technique. The danger with that is making sure the players respect Matt and don’t think BB is still calling the shots and in charge on the coaching front.

Other interesting things here is that it’s Patricia, and not Josh, that he wants. Explains the continual interviews from Josh, knowing he’s never getting the top job here.

Also explains why it’s out of the blue, because he didn’t know if Patricia would be available and if he would agree to this arrangement if he were.

Also interesting that it’s not Steve Belichick. Tells me he thinks he’s not ready yet.... which makes sense because he still hasn’t gotten the formal DC title yet.

Feel like I'm not as plugged in with this stuff as I used to be...when/why did they have a falling out? I can google I guess
I'll summarize

Brady was burnt out by Josh. Little Bill if you will
Josh froze brady out of game planning
Josh would not put personnel groupings out he wanted
In the past Brady could confide in Josh but Josh was running to Bill

Bill the Coach is staring at 6-10 unless Bill the GM gets a Quarterback with considerable NFL starting experience and hits on this draft. No Ras I Dowling, Duke Dawson, or Antonio Garcia picks allowed

He's almost 69 in 2 months. It's not out of the realm of possibility, even if this report is ********.

This is super optimistic considering our division will be freaking competitive this year..

If deshaun watsom lands with the jets , Bill might take an early retirement if we don't land Jimmy.

Belechick is going with Cam Newton again this season. He'll use the draft for LB and D-Line and WR...and take a flyer on a QB in the 4th or 5th round...

I don't know this guy and some of you seem to be pretty confident that he's not a BS artist, but IMO there is 0% chance Kraft will just let Bill put Patricia in there after Detroit. He doesn't have the respect of the players it would be a huge mistake. I think Josh would bomb but he's a better choice over Patricia. Hell give me baby bill instead too. We pushed one NE icon out of town so hopefully we don't push another if he actually wants to retire, but if he needs to choose his coach as part of the deal and he wants Patricia, **** that.

If we’re looking in house for BBs replacement I’m voting Mayo. I don’t think Lil B is ready yet.

Riddle me this Batpersons
What happened/didn't happen to make once sought after Josh rescind the HC of the colts offer and return to the NEP?
Did BB or Kraft offer him a position as next HC only to pull the football away Lucy style for the Rocket Scientist?

I see this coming to an end if Bill can't sign anyone significant in FA and we hear reports that they didn't sign in NE because they don't want to play for him. And If the rumors are true that Bill goes all in for Watson, but he veto's the trade, that could be another red flag for the Kraft's. But him leaving after next season is a stretch.

Bill the GM is fine as long as he stays away from drafting young talent. He's getting really bad at that.

1. Bill's not having fun in NE.
2. Stafford definitely talked w/ Jimmy Stewart.
3. Fat Pat's gonna get fatter.
