Kyed: Team likes Stidham more than Garoppolo

Not necessarily. I can come out and say a lot of people like a certain restaurant or politician but I couldn't give two ****s about it.

Why do you assume the source is a buddy?
You assumed buddy you said Pioli and Lombardi.

Garoppolo is a top 5 QB. This is a spin.

No, Stidham didn't come out of a "top" program. He came from a program that grossly misused him. Malzahn’s offense didn't take advantage of Stidham's strengths. It was a bad fit for both.
Stidham may have been misused, but he was forced to learn a playbook and not wing it. Physical talents aside, Stidham was more prepared to run a professional team then JG was when he came into the league.

Could be anyone is the point and how are those two vested?
Exactly it could be anyone. But if source is to matter then they probably vested in some way.

If you don't think Lombardi and Pioli are still a little vested in the Patriots and BB then I'm not sure what else there is to say. Of course they are still capable of their own critical thinking but that's not what Kyed implied.

The source has knowledge of what the NEP think of Stid and does not benefit from pumping up Stid's or the NEPs propaganda.

Could be Scott Pioli. Could be Lombardi.

Human nature 101. No one talks to journalists without a reason. Trust me!

They may not be part of the organization, but, at the very least, they want to give the impression that they are connected and informed. We've no guarantee that this person is more reliable than the guy at the country club who'd learned from Kraft that Brady's return to the Pats was a done deal.

You are totally blowing this out of proportion.

All this person said is the team likes him more than Jimmy. You act like this person did it for BB or Stid's benefit.

Bill has 6 ****ing Super Bowls. It's not like his job is in jeopardy. Jesus.

Who gives a crap if they are connected and informed? They are relaying what they know about how the team feels about Stid v Jimmy.

Kyed could have ran into Felger at Hannafords.

Top 5 is generous, but regardless of what Jimmy is now, I think the implication in this article is that they like Stidham better than they did when JG was here as a backup. In other words, when they knew as much about Garropolo as they do about Stidham, they're higher on Stidham. I could be wrong, but that's how I interpret it.

Maybe but I'm bored during quarenteen.

I interpreted what Kyed said as I know what the Patriots are thinking but I got it from someone who is not actually one of the people in the know so it makes it more valid because they have nothing to gain.

It just seems like an odd thing to brag about.

Wouldn't this report actually mean more if it came from someone who actually has knowledge of what Patriots thinkers would know?

You don’t think about replacing a top 5 qb entering his prime when a 43 year old Tom Brady enters free agency.

Lynch admitted they thought about making the change.
