Antonio Brown

Man I didn't know we had one of the team's medical staff posting here.

Let's hope Biffy is just a consultant since the medical staff had Gordon listed with a knee concern

AB better hope TMZ does not obtain video of this deposition. It could be the end of him. The whole world will bare witness to his fakeness and how awful he treats people, this time it will be on video. Calling God will not save him and it may be the last time any team might want to do anything with him.

I don’t think anyone thinks Brown is a good person. I would like to see the video.

There is a difference in thinking and then seeing evidence to remove all doubt.

Because Kraft felt guilty about his own mess and overreacted and kicked AB out unduly?

Let me put it another way. Why did Brady and BB want to keep AB? Are they idiots? Can’t they see all the negatives you posted?

You know any of this how about Brady and BB?? AB was let go for a series of mishaps that he did not learn from, in fact he only got bolder as the week went along..

Suspect he has not been resigned due to that abhorrent behavior that all were free to see..

Mr. Kraft is the owner of this team and can do what he wants... none of this has anything to do with what happened in Florida.

This is incredible.

If accurate there was no way in hell he was going to be successful here. Awful attitude.

I'm all for fairness and due process but this dude is bad to the bone.

Good riddence

Here is what Brown is alleged to have done, according to Yahoo!'s Charles Robinson citing a motion from opposing lawyer George Minksi:

-- Arrived nearly 30 minutes late to the deposition.

-- Acted “belligerent and pugnacious, refusing to answer the most routine of questions, despite there being no objection to the questioning coming from his counsel.”

-- “Chanted, over and over, as if a mantra, a narrative of his own warped concept of the proceeding.”

-- “Acting as if he was above the rule of law, (Brown) proceeded to make a mockery of the deposition process. (Brown’s) antics were so unreasonable that barely twenty minutes into the deposition, his counsel asked for a break (so) he could speak with (Brown) about his demeanor.”

-- “When the deposition resumed, (Brown) began texting on his cell phone. Regardless of multiple requests from his own counsel, and from the undersigned, (Brown) continued texting.”

-- “After approximately 20-30 minutes, (Brown) required another break. When the deposition resumed (Brown) increased his level of obstructive behavior. At one point, (Brown) refused to answer any questions, instead saying ‘next question’ no less than 10 times.”

-- “Soon thereafter, (Brown) started announcing a countdown, starting at ‘five minutes,’ and counting down the minutes thereafter. Before noon (Brown) left the conference room.”

Afterwards, Brown’s lawyer waited a few minutes and then left briefly. He returned and “volunteered, to the effect, that Plaintiff’s counsel could now file its motion for sanctions.”

Why would this be so surprising to some posters here?????? Seriously, how MANY instances do people need?

I EXPECT Antonio Brown to act that way in court. He is an irresponsible, bat$hit crazy human cancer. There are a lot of gullible people in this world and the Patriots were fortunate that all this happened EARLY in the season. He was going to pull the pin out of his hand grenade no matter what. Better now than in January before a playoff game.

BTW, here's more detail about what happened at that deposition :

Bat. ****. Crazy.

Now that Mr Big Chest has painted himself into yet another corner it may be time for him to get serious and break out the big gun. Yep, don't be surprised if we see the return of...

The Golden Mustache

Regardless, Brown wasn't cut for the scantily clad advance. He was cut for texting this woman 48 hours after being explicitly told by the league not to do so.
I've moved past this nonsense, but I keep on seeing the above and want some source to this.
EDIT: NVM I see no one can come up with a source for this version.

My understanding of events is:

Monday - SI article comes out
Wednesday- AB sends text messages
Thursday - NFL contacted by attorneys for painter. NFL tells AB not to contact painter.

Are you saying NFL told AB not to contact painter on Monday when SI story came out? Nobody knew about this painter until the story broke. Did they ask him not to contact the piranha tank guy too?

The Golden Mustache
This should have alerted all of us that something is not right in his head, he looks like a crazy person as Evey Hammond will say.

I want to know what the "mantra" AB chanted was.

"doyourjob.…. doyourjob….. doyourjob…."

Unfortunately his job seems to be being a douche

Personally, I think Kraft does very little to bow to media or fan pressure. I would have bet it had more to due with threats of sponsorship money being pulled. He's a business guy and AB was a threat to his business model.
Honest question: do you think AB with the alleged civil charges and SI stories was more of a threat to his business model than the man himself being caught on VIDEO getting HJ and BJ from asian prostitutes in Florida?

It seems a bit hypocritical to make this argument given the fact Kraft is actually facing criminal charges.

Of course you are correct about this. Everyone knows the Patriots take on head cases like AB...the Patriots franchise was not at risk to be damaged any more than it already was. People either hate them and will hate everything they do, or, a more growing proportion of people now respect them and in particular understand they are the only possible option left for Brown. No one expected them to get through to him in a week, and very few called for them to actual release him.

In terms of damage to his business/brand, no one has actively ruined it more than Bob himself, from 2007 - onward, beginning with Spygate, and how he’s handled small rule infraction allegations, as well as his insanely dumb decision to go to a mini mall for a r&t.
