Suggestion: Trade for Manny Sanders

Ha ha... good point!

I get the feeling that BB thought within himself that Gronk was going to give it one more year thus the negligence at TE in the Off season and Draft.

How is that 'except' when center is on of the two changes? The LT portion of the comment was indirect rebuttal. Thuney is finding himself in the unenviable position of having weak links on both sides of him

Mason and Cannon haven't been world beaters either. The running game to the right side has been less than stellar on most plays..

You seemed to be blaming Newhouse excessively. If that's not what you meant then apologies for sure. Not sure Mason and Thuney were great pass blocking yesterday either.

Basically, the whole offense as a unit was pretty poor. A lot of credit to Buffalo there. Sometimes it looked like they had JM's play call sheet and knew the plays better than the Pats' offense did.

The OL situation is perplexing.

The new guys (Karras and Newhouse) haven't been great, but they haven't been awful either. To my eye, the equal (if not greater) issues are Mason and Cannon, who are not playing to their 2018 form, or anywhere close; they've both been really poor at times.

First and foremost Scar needs to get the right side of the line playing the way they should be. At that point, focus on getting Karras more dialed in and weather the storm at LT until Wynn is ready.

I almost started a thread about this exact thing; I was going to ask the forum who they think the OL culprits are, because it's very unclear to me. Or maybe it is clear, and I'm just confused about why our best OL players would be the ones performing poorly.

Broncos 0-4 and going nowhere. BB, call John Elway and trade for Emmanuel Sanders. Make this happen. He's 'AB Lite' and provides the obvious spark and quick to get open ability the offense needs.

This is what I was thinking last night. They can make this deal happen as Elway and Belichick have made deals before, and the Bronco’s would love picks and Sanders wants out. They need to be aggressive on this.

Im a fan of his but not at that cap hit. Sucks the donks didn’t release him or something

I was responding to someone that couldn't grasp why the line is struggling and made a ridiculous comment about LT

What this team lacks is tight end play. We have jags right now. A guy like austin hooper would be a nice rental. Falcons going nowhere . He could fit the cap with some adjustments .

Isn't he their #1 TE?? I would trade for Cameron Brate Bucs.

Yes but he’s on his last year already. They’re going nowhere this year. Have you seen that team? They gave julio some big money. They have some cap issues going foward.

The Patriots will be getting cap relief from the whole Brown situation since they won't have paid out the signing bonus.

Also, it's unlikely that 4.75M is going to do squat to keep them from Re-signing KVN or Collins.

You don't know that. The odds seem to be in their favour but listening to Joe Banner, Joel Corry and others on Twitter this is anything but a slam dunk.

We are talking about 9M in total.

I was wondering the same as the OP.

Pull off a trade for GOOD WR with a team mailing it in for 2019.

Karras isn't a new guy but new to starting at center every week. Mason might be playing hurt and Cannon is dinged. We need to hope that Wynn will be OK; otherwise, barring a trade for help it'll be tough sledding. Losing Andrews was a huge blow and letting Trent Brown go can legitimately be second guessed.
While you speak the truth here. I don't feel that letting Brown go can "be second guessed". He received major compensation and despite issues on the OL, overpaying Brown isn't the solution.

Yes. I love this idea. Perfect fit.

or TE OJ Howard

Sanders came up gimpy after a couple plays yesterday. He probably wouldn’t pass a physical. He’s playing hurt.

Yes! I proposed that last year and people slammed me and said he was washed up. The Pats have always wanted him and I think he can now be had.

If we can’t get out of the AB contract, mine as well try getting him back. Just give Kraft some spa vouchers to make him happy.

First off, nobody calls him Manny Sanders. Second, I think the issues yesterday are more with the OLine not playing well and the Buffalo D being really good.
