Gronk said he might come back, perhaps in 2 years, or 3 years or 3 months.

He'll need to discuss this with his agent, after his agent got one of his other clients (AB) a contract with new England.

Playing after the Nov 10 bye would be good. The next month should be a good warmup for the playoffs: PHI, DAL, HOU and KC. He can then rest for a month while the team plays CIN, BUF and MIA (and have the 1st round bye).
