I recall a post here after the Superbowl about how the Pats were shredded in week 1 of 2017 and in the last game of the 2017 season by a Reid offense. I wish I could find the analysis but from memory the general point Reids offense has the Pat D number.

Here's an article I found about the Bears matchup:

Bill Belichick sees similarities between Matt Nagy and Andy Reid

What do you guys make of the Reid offense vs BB defense going into this matchup?

Re-upping this post and want to combine with this tweet by Volin:

and if you count the PHI offense in Superbowl , then 7 times in the Belichick era they allowed 40+ points, and 4 times was against an Andy Reid offense.

Reid runs his offense a little differently with Mahomes as compared to Alex Smith. It's like Alex was a corvette and Mahomes is a Ferrari

It's actually identical. The only difference is receivers have to be trained to extend plays.

He runs more misdirection. It plays to mahomes strength.
It's literally the exact same offense. Same misdirection. It's the same thing Reid's been running since he got to KC.

To be fair I think it is not a bad strategy. It is not like their value will drop if the Pats make it and you go on selling them.

The guy bought it on nfllonlocation.com directly from the NFL. You can’t sell those...

i personally would never buy a Super Bowl ticket if i am not 100% sure that MY TEAM is there...

How do they prevent you from selling them? The tickets are mailed via fedex, so how do they stop you frombreselling hard tickets?

I suppose if they mail it there’s nothing they can do. However, if he got a package that includes a hotel, he’s stuck with the hotel cost..

staff writer on Boston.com said he feels more confident about this game compared to 2015 Denver because we have a running game. The #1 rb was *checks notes.... Stephen Jackson at the end of his career. Going into a hostile environment against that defense with no running game according to him meant no chance. I just dont feel good about this game because this team has not proven to me that they can win a big game on the road. Hell, Chicago almost beat us on the road when we had the game won.

Lombardi has a nice (and true) saying: bad OLs don't travel well.

Apart from being an average unit at their best they were never healthy throughout 2015 season always interchanging positions. Most guys played through injuries that game and if we include Stork's mental condition there probably wasn't a healthy body on that line. They were coached by DeGuglielmo who was then fired and was just fired from the third job he had since then despite IND investing significantly in new OL personnel and playing well.

This year Dante's OL is one of the top units in the league, healthy on the most part and gelling throughout the season. That is the main reason why Pats and their fans should travel with confidence this time..

Yeah that makes sense.
