Bill is the master of talking a lot but not really saying anything.

They are the masters of the amount of information released depending on the situation. In this situation, they will say next to nothing as a message to him showing he isn’t a savior. It’s all about messaging for a purpose down there.

He needs positive reinforcement BB is playing this right.
Gordon is like a lottery ticket and you have almost all the winning numbers picked out.
I have a feeling Haley may have made him want to get high.
Josh BB and Tom should try to build this kid.
Not tear him down.
BB understands everybody has to be coached differently.
Honestly we don’t know what he needs
There is a lot of commentary out there that he has been entitled his whole life and gotten away with acting however he wants.
Discipline and accountability may be what he needs not puppy training-like praise and reward for not peeing on the floor.

Rumors out of Cleveland are that Gordon wasn't in "football shape". That Hue Jackson played Gordon in 69 snaps during the 1st game as "punishment" to show Gordon how out of Football shape he was.

I'm curious if someone with access to ALL-22 can take a look at that Cleveland game and give their honest assessment of Gordon in the 2nd half and particularly the 4th quarter.

Didn't he make a great catch for a TD on his only target?

Lesson learned, I guess.*

*The lesson being that he can still beast. Great job, Hue!

Cleveland had a right to be angry he missed preseason but it shouldn’t have caught them off guard to not be in football shape. And even so he still rewarded them with a game tying td.

This thread is going going to be looked upon years down the road as gem of epic proportions. Started as a trade thread of a player that was actually acquired for once, had “he sucks” about a totally different player who doesn’t suck. The we got our own episode of Dr. Drew, only to be capped by a story about the extremely rare occurace of the cop sandwhich.

And its not over yet...

I agree, Red Sox-Astros will be a great matchup if they face each other in the playoffs. ;)

for further clarification, it was an old friend of mine and a buddy of his.. one of them went as the top half bun, the other as the bottom bun.. and they would stand on each side of something for pictures to complete their list

it wasnt him by himself in a hamburger outfit, it took 2 of them to do the outfit and complete the list haha

Frankly, I’m just very surprised to hear you weren’t involved in these shenanigans, JarOfMayo. Your absence made these pranks dry and bland.

im too scared to try things like that lol

It cost him around $6,000 or so to sort it all out and reduce it down to 100 hours community service

THIS.

For FF, I'd list the Pats pass catchers in this order of scoring:

Gronk
Edelman
White
Gordon/Hogan
Dorsett
Patterson (higher if your league rewards points for return yardage)
Hollister

In a 12 teamer, I'd not even start Gordon unless I were desperate. Hell, right now I like free agents like Antonio Callaway/Tyler Boyd better...

Gordon might be HUGE...but if he is to break out...it will take 3 games, IMO. One to get his feet wet...second one to do more...and the third one playing in the offense with Edelman.

IMO, we will know his value when we compare his snap count with Hogan's following Edelman's return.

Just my $.02:

Don't overthink it.

  • Look at last year
  • Sub Edelman in for Amendola
  • Sub Gordon in for Cooks
  • Split a few off of various others for Dorsett and, maybe, Hogan (based on health)
  • Michel for Lewis

It's basic and oversimplified, but it'll be the basic format, if things go well.

He caught 1 of 3 targets
