2017 Patriots Draft Contacts Thread

Sam Tevi, OT, Utah needs a fair bit of technique work - he dips his head and leans into blocks too much - but he's got some nice quick and light feet. Also has 34" arms. He and the Villanova guy would be good Dante projects.

He did run 4.63 and had a 34" VJ but a 4.44 shuttle and 7.41 3-cone aren't great.

Gronk's shuttle was 4.47, FWIW. Nothing about his numbers really screamed super athlete. They were very good, but not amazing.

Height: 6062
Weight: 264
40 Yrd Dash: 4.68
20 Yrd Dash: 2.68
10 Yrd Dash: 1.58
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 23
Vertical Jump: 33 1/2
Broad Jump: 09'11"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.47
3-Cone Drill: 7.18

Would love this pick if he was more aggressive in run support. Sadly he isn't so can only like it.

The Pats tend to draft a position they look at the most. The fact they are looking at so many WRs is interesting.

I know Edelman probably doesn't have many great years left but Mitchell/Hogan/Cooks could easily go 4 years pretty well particularly Mitchell/Cooks.

Also for what is it worth 3-cone times.

Taywan Taylor - 6.57
Isaiah McKenzie - 6.64 (5-7)
Chad Henson - 6.74
Cooper Kupp - 6.75
Ryan Switzer 6.77 (5'8)
Zay Jones 6.79

Those are some of the notable WRs who finished under 6.8 which i think is the cut off for high level 3-cone time for WRs. Worth noting they have not met with any of the guys i listed.

Look at the short shuttle too for WRs, I think that might be more important (although the two tend to go hand in hand).
