This is the 2011 defense all over again

No it's worse, the 2011 defense at least made plays/ turnovers.

This defense doesn't even do that ever. They're allergic to turnovers.

A frustratingly overrated defense.

Guess the announcers won't be calling Matt Patricia a "rocket scientist" tonight.
Two weeks to work on bend and break.....looks like they succeeded

2011 was one of the worst defenses ever. This is an above average defense with consistency issues. More like 2010.

At least the CBs have mastered pass interference

Really missing Jones and Collins pressure.... This front 7 is average now.

loss of chandler jones and collins is showing up. there is absolutely no pass rush and no one on the team can create a turnover. malcolm butler is a number 2 cornerback, not a 1.

It's not that bad, but:

1) what does this D do well? Can't rush, can't cover, no turnovers, bad 3rd down....

2) what do they even want to be?

I didn't realize the 2011 patriots defense was top five in points against?

Yeah, they've been pretty bad tonight from top to bottom. This has been their first big test and they're puking all over themselves. 3rd and 3 and they give up 38 yards. That's pathetic. Doesn't it feel good to have absolutely zero faith in that side of the ball again?

This is the first good qb they've faced all season(Palmer is trash this year) and they've gotten absolutely destroyed. No pass rush and terrible coverage

Let's put this on context. The Pats are still playing Seattle in a tight game and Wilson looks great.

Don't want to hear about PPG. They are finally facing an NFL QB. The playoffs are likely to have a few of them.

Defense has been bad. This is why you don't trade a good defensive player (Jamie Collins) without finding a better replacement.

That was the worst game on defense I've seen since 2012. That was ****ing pathetic. Belichick said we will know what team we have in November? Well, that looked Charmin soft.

Well at least we can stop pretending around here that this defense was as good as many claimed to be...
