I have watched a good amount of tape on Seattle and here some of my thoughts:

-I wouldn't do anything much vs Sherman. Put Amendola out there. Only time id throw at him is if
hes in man defending crosser or slant.
Hawks play their third corner on the left side when in nickel. I think he can be attacked with LaFell.
Outs, comebacks, back shoulder, slants. Maybe a deep shot.

-I think Seattle's run d is really tough when teams play with tight formations/big personnel.
Chancellor is like a 4th linebacker.

-But if you spread them out, runs become effective. Id run draws from the gun to Vereen and runs
under center to Blount out of 3 wr formations.
Screens and YAC will be really tough. Thomas, Chancellor and the LBs all great in pursuit.

- I think the key on offense will be attacking the hawks zone scheme. Will need to hit plays of play-action. Will need to have zone beater plays.

-I think Tim Wright could be used, He struggles to get any separation in man, but he has great
hands and he can take hits

Defensively
- I think the key will be keeping Wilson in the pocket. Ninkovich must stay especially
disciplined. Wilson loves escaping to his right.

-The hawks are at their best when they run read option. Pats must have a plan to limit wilson or
lynch from breaking big runs to the weak side of the play.

- I think the receiver to watch is Luke Wilson. He needs to be jammed at the line on all plays. Browner is the guy to cover him on passing downs.

Great analysis. I definitely think we'll test Sherman right away- he excels in man coverage but uses his arms extensively to feel his man while tracking the ball.

Put Gronk on Lane. Test Lane's theory that Gronk is not that good.

What about Seattle? OHHH THATS RIGHT, WE ARE IN THE SUPERBOWL! Doesnt feel like it with this stupid witch hunt!

About ****ing time someone is talking about something that actually matters, namely the Superbowl
PING!!!!

Last time i believe Brady got picked off, trying to get the ball to branch. We don't a big tall physical receiver so any fade route or deep jump ball is begging to be picked off. I still think we should attack him on crossing and inside routes.

I worry that if that's their gameplan, then Seattle will play similar to how the Jets ****ed us over in that playoff game by crowding the short to intermediate lanes, and daring Brady to throw long.

What I'm really interested in seeing is how our run game will fare against that stout defensive line.
If we can keep Seattle's defense honest with the run, then we can leverage the play action.

Otherwise...

Their defensive speed scares me. They will employ the same plan they did vs Denver. force brady to go outside and deep. I hope we dont go in with a mindset of not being able to run at all on them.
On offense its about stopping wilson but i fear they will play heavy zone to keep him in the pocket.
And hope brady is relaxed at the the start. Last 2 SBs he was cranky - 2007 he was visibily upset they lost the toss, 2011 - the safety thing.

Yeah I remember clearly, he wanted the ball to start the game and score and on the sidelines he was quite upset. I think there were comments also about in the game thread IIRC.

I believe that we'll attempt to take advantage of Sherman with quicker, timing passes that aren't exclusively man coverage.

I definitely agree with you that there's no way they'll approach it like the Packers did in week 1, where they totally avoid Sherman--thus giving SEA a huge advantage on the other side as well.

I don't doubt you. I've avoided that game any clips at all costs.

Maybe thats why they defer now- so TB wouldn't throw a kibbie anymore.

My biggest concern is getting down big early. Naturally it's hard to come back from being down early anyway, but I think their defense is too fast and too strong to let us back into the game like Baltimore's. Hopefully Bryan Stork's first snap to Brady doesn't go into the end zone.

If the game stays close, we have a shot. If we get up big I think our D can hold onto the lead, unlike what happened in Seattle in 2012.

You can thank Tavon Wilson for that loss.
His coverage skills have improved and he's rarely used, so at least one potential factor towards a loss has been eliminated.

-Jamman

I also wouldn't expect blitzing from the Patriots, I think they want Wilson to try beat them throwing the ball, let Wilson try to drop back and beat the secondary

Eddie Royal gave Sherman issues. Teams try to go deep against Sherman too much. I see him give up slant routes and underneath routes.
