i'm flying south during the game.

Lookit all these part time fans.

I've skipped out on my own children's birthday parties for a game.

Quit your job.

I'm working,will br checking gametracker every chance I get,DVR-ing the game....sigh.....

I dunno, maybe I've been lucky to have only had 2 jobs the last 15 years and only a handful of bosses - none of which objected to the idea that there were 24 days a year where I was not available during a 4 hour window, but the Patriots are too important to me, I think I'd be on the job trail the moment I found out I had to work a game for which I had told them 3 months in advance I wouldn't be available.

I know it's not easy to quit a job, this economy etc, but god damn, there are some things in life that matter.

I just got off my Ambulance shift, non stop calls until 3:30 in the morning.

Nope, thankfully I am off on weekends and only have to work Mon-Fri. I think that schedule is typical for many Accountants though. However, I do attend Church on Sundays which takes up my schedule that day from 10AM to 12PM. So before I leave my house on Sunday morning I set my DVR to record the game and when I get back the game is waiting for me. Thus, the solution for me is to DVR the games.

To OP: sorry you have to work that day. I recommend you DVR the game if possible. If you can't DVR the game than I hope you find some other solution to your situation.

I flew a transcon today. Watched the whole game on a 6" screen on the back of the seat of the person sitting in front of me. Damn thing was so small i couldn't read small font like the game time remaining. And it cost me $7.99 that I can't submit reimbursement for. To top it off, the captain and/or FA routinely had perfect timing to to interrupt a key play with some crap announcements about food/drinks or fasten your seat belt for possible severe turbulence....

Our email server went down Sunday morning and I had to go in at 8:30. I walk in the server room to see not one, but two drives had failed....in a raid 1 array...on the OS drives...

Needless to say, I was there until about 2PM in order to get things back online. Missed the whole first half of the game...

I'll be there on Thursday though AND took Friday off, so I better not see the same Pats team out there because the team I saw today...sucked donkey balls.
