Willie McGinest pissed at the Pats?

I think WMG's benefit to Cleveland was more in teh locker room than on the field. The value to Romeo of having a player keep the youngsters in line cannot be over-stated.

Good take ...Willie did look like crap when he first went there.
Always one of my favorites ... still is.

I don't know what Willie's problem was but what ever it was was bad. Hopefully one day he will get over. I like him alot.

Box of Rocks ... a HOF of the forum IMO ...

and I ran across another great contributor looking back upon that time:

"RookBoston" ... was a very solid contributor to the forum.

Funny you should mention Rook.
Several springs ago, it was Rook ... i'm sure you recall ... who galvanized many of us with
his magisterial exposition of Belioli's "Value Grouping" in the draft.
That theory back-tested superbly, and was highly plausible
... but alas it hasn't fitted any subsequent drafts very well.
Did Belioli suppose Rook had blown their cover? ... and went another way?
As you say, though, a very solid contributor.

Several times in just the past week RookBoston has appeared in this forum
... as he does very occasionally.
Only brief remarks, though.
Perhaps he feels curtailed in some way?

ps - always good to chat with you, ol' FootBallNut !

I'm sure that Willie keeps all the Rappers who can't sell records on his label just to show what a great guy he is. Too much Coke!

Hard to believe this is a thread. This comment by McGinest could have been interpreted in a number of different ways. What a waste of space.

Doubt he meant any negativity.

If he did, who cares???

I'd agree, Willie is a locker room enforcer and Romeo's handling of the Winslow situation a year or two ago has galvanized that team.

Nevertheless, he paid more than he had to for McGinest and I think it was a deal between the Pats and Crennel to set Willie up.

He goes on the open market, he's playing for closer to vet minimum.

I think he has had some sour grapes, but he made out like a bandit, so he should keep it to himself.

JEEZ....

sounds like a reporter from Fox News trying to push an agenda here.

Right! 'cause CNN, MSNBC, etc NEVER push their agenda in their news broadcast.

I don't want to get into a political argument, but let's be fair. They all do it.

JEEZ....

sounds like a reporter from Fox News trying to push an agenda here. This is like when reporters with no reporting skill report things like :
=====================================================
"SOURCES say that......"
"there are WHISPERS in the locker room saying ......"
"SOME are questioning......"
=====================================================
B.S.!...all of it

you've gotta be kidding me with this. Obviously Willie has BIG love for the Patriots. Obviously Willie is on the Browns. Obviously Willie wants to talk about the Browns and their upcoming game and playoff push, NOT the Pats so don't ask him about it.

ask Rodney Harrison what he thinks about the chances the Chargers have this year. I'm sure he will tell you to go **** yourself.

Never miss a chance to make a normal thread political with a shot at FOX news even though it has nothing to do with the thread..and the source was yahoo/AP writer not FOX
